Aaah but if you that your not there with the official travelling support then its not the sfa at fault,50 quid a membership is fine even if you only go to home games and then shell out a few hundred quid to go to 1 away game

£50 is not the problem, they're not accepting new members. I bought my flights and booked the hotel thinking a ticket in a 55000 seater stadium wasn't going to be a problem. Which it won't be, I'll just be in the home end. Which was exactly the thing I thought the SFA were looking to prevent. I don't think the rule in the present day has anything to do with crowd behaviour, it's to get these £50 notes rolling in.

If you do get a home end ticket, I dont think it will be too much of a problem getting moved in with the away fans. I just asked stewards in Bari and Kiev and escorted round.

Aye, I'm not worried, it all just seems a bit daft to me though.

The rule is basically in place to try and prevent, or catch out, a randomly selected group of people harvesting tickets.

I contacted the SSC yesterday and they said that usual away match procedures would still apply.

I've only ever been asked to pick up a ticket twice.

Got ticket: £3 plus £2 postage, so they seem to be posting them all out!

I got a request to prove I was at the Luxembourg match as well, but nothing since.

I always save the airline tickets and hotel bills for a couple of months afterwards just in case I get asked again.

A would expect the sale to slow up now. No way will there be 2000 of us over there, they might sell 2000 tickets but that another story.

A keep checking the temperature over there every so often and the last few days it has reached 40, am hoping it cools down dramatically over the next few weeks.

Glasgow - Amsterdam - Istanbul - Tbilisi on Wednesday the 2nd.

Tbilisi - Kiev - Amsterdam - Edinburgh on Saturday 5th.

Can't remember the cost.

Potential banana skin but we'll go there in far better shape than the last time.

Should be a good trip.
