Who is the most famous person to ever play in the South of Scotland Le

Recommended Posts

Davie Halliday played or Saints in the twenties before playing for QoS and Chelsea.

Billy Houliston and Roy Henderson played briefly for Saints, as did Jim Paterson , QoS top goalscorer of all time ..

Steve McLachlan ex Dalbeattie Star played for Derby County 1938-1954 .

Best play I saw play against a south side was Bobby Russell ex Rangers for Motherwell in a friendly at KB .

No wee Tam McLean was Motherwell manager then , Alex Smith brought down a strong Clyde team to open the first set of floodlights which were purhased after two seasons of good runs in the qualifying cup ad a real scudding at the hands of Ross County in the Scottish !!
