Ludo*1
Been watching BBC1s Alex Salmond programme and all I can say is thank you Alex. Thank you to the best politician Scotland has ever seen. Regardless of what others think and what your opinion of Salmond, as a politician, Salmond is the best Scotland has ever seen. Worried how the SNP will go on without him. Whether you're Tory, Labour, or SNP, Salmond has represented Scotland better than the likes of Blair, Brown, Cameron or any of the first ministers previously. No one has came close to Salmond. Thank you Alex. In whatever you do next, I know it'll be to benefit Scotland and the Scottish people.

Ludo*1
Fuckin hell... What? Typical response. Can't you accept that whether SNP lost or won the referendum, Salmond has been the most successful politician Scotland has seen?
yoda
I believe it was Dido who wrote and sung the phrase: And I want to thank you So here's me, thanking Alex Salmond Esq. through the words of Dido.

I do agree when you watch the programme it portrays just how much Salmond drove the SNP and that does leave a concern about the future. Hopefully the fact that there are elections in the relatively near future will help cement the momentum.
Mr Romanov
Wasn't his biggest fan but his achievements were remarkable. His contempt for the tories and labour was beautiful as well.
Mr Romanov
His resignation speech was one of the most crushing moments I've felt in a long time. Was fucking deed from the result emotionally, mentally and physically. Watching him fight back the tears was enough to set me off, not ashamed to say. Todders
To remain so dignified throughout his career given the shitstorm of abuse he has had to endure shows the man to be several classes above those who have tried to drag him down to their level. invergowrie arab
I was lucky enough to meet the great man last weekend and thank him personally. His humility near moved me to tears when he told me it was nothing and he only wished he could do it all again. Then he shook my hand doing some backwards thing with his left hand and I thought he was some sort of fucking deviant. Then I remembered he had injured himself shaking hands with the people of Scotland on the referendum trail and I fell in love with him again. I used to think that north Korean eternal president thing was weird but I get it now. Well done Alex thanks to you we are for the first time in 300 years, in our hearts if not legally, a nation once again.

Kyle
I never used to like him, but always respected his ability as a politician. His ability to make his opponents become blithering seething messes can only be respected and I hope he stands again for Westminster. Whether you like him or not, he does have Scotland's best interests at heart. All the best #sexysocialism
