As Kenny Black said, the only time we strung four passes together we ended up scoring. ICT probably won't have an easier game this season, only a combination of some poor finishing, the woodwork and Dan Twardzik kept it down to 3. We were utterly shite and yesterday was proof, as many Motherwell fans suspected, that the win against United was little to do with Black and more to do with a post McCall bounce. Yesterday they reverted to type and produced a display as bad as anything we produced under McCall this season. We couldn't string two passes together, there was no pace or movement with or without the ball and the aggression and fight that was evident in every player in the victory over United was seemingly long gone. I don't know if it's just confidence or what players just seem to have lost the ability to pass and play as a team the difference is crazy from last season compared to this. Swello Posted November 24, 2014 Share Posted November 24, 2014 An to think ICT fans used to dread a game against us There isn't much to add about this game except to say that you could make a lengthy DVD of opposition players breezing in behind our defence this season, whilst McManus and/or O'Brien stand still with a surprised look on their face. We have leaked a lot of goals over the past few years as a result of setting up in a fairly open way and always playing 2 strikers - but I can't remember since the grim days of McCleish in the mid-90's, us being so easy to score past - it's almost like they aren't trying. The problem is that in the Dundee Utd game, they showed that they do have another gear that they can step up in terms of effort and so the type of insipid pish from Saturday just simply isn't acceptable..
