Florentine_Pogen
There's a few posts on the BRALT today re. a t-shirt apparently being currently sold by Burtons. Coincidentally, there is a piece in today's Guardian on shirt manufacture in Bangladesh. http://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2014/apr/bangladesh-shirt-on-your-back

The times did a similar piece on China a few years back. It's not just garments of course, the manufacture of your Iphone etc is not done by magic pixies. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/sep/05/workers-rights-flouted-apple-iphone-plant
djchapsticks
The offending garment, I full expect Burtons to be forced into an apology by the unwashed masses.

th1stleandr0se
The root of all the problems is over-population. There is a direct link between family size and poverty. China tackled it and they're on the way up. If the people themselves don't practise birth control maybe the Governments should take action as China did, maybe with a bit of a heavy hand but I believe they're easing it a bit now that it's under control. You might end up paying more for your Primark tee-shirt but the world would be a happier, healthier and safer place.
