Mr Bairn
Glorious to see the hapless Hosie win. Not only does it undermine Fat Gus's position as SNP leader at WM, but it's guaranteed to hurt their chances of picking up MPs. Happy days for the Scottish Labour Party. jamamafegan
The tears as Salmond shuttles off into the sunset, tail firmly between legs, after his utter mauling in the referendum. Glorious. Pffffffffft Even you don't believe that yourself.

Tubbs
"So our task remains as it has always been - not to impose our will, not to berate those who disagree with us but to persuade - respectfully and intelligently through the strength of our arguments and the power of our actions - to persuade the majority of our fellow Scots that the best future for our country, the way to build a more prosperous more successful country and a fairer society, is for us to become a normal independent nation." Not to close the gap between rich and poor ? Wow that commitment (or maybe it was a statement or a suggestion or a thought or maybe it was nothing) to make closing the gap as the main task lasted a while. AUFC90
Why do people resign following humiliating defeats? Resigning off the back of the first parliamentary majority in Scottish history whilst having higher approval ratings than any political leader in the UK is NOT failing. You know this, you just like to talk shite.

Just to be very clear here, are you claiming Salmond didn't resign because Yes were utterly beasted in the referendum, following Cameron absolutely owning him in the Edinburgh Agreement? Just to be very clear here, are you claiming Salmond didn't resign because Yes were utterly beasted in the referendum, following Cameron absolutely owning him in the Edinburgh Agreement? Salmond resigned to allow new blood in and to allow him to say whatever the f**k he likes regarding Westminster. Salmond could've had another term no bother. He has higher popularity ratings than just about any prominent politician despite being in government for 7 years. He's also took the SNP from being an opposition party to being the natural party of government and has took independence from being the preserve of the SNP to the mainstream and it's now at such a level of support that it simply can't go away. If that's political failure then I'd love to see what political success is.

She, along with the rest of No voters, won the referendum. Then she quit for reasons we already know. That is humiliation.
