Clyde V East Stirlingshire

Recommended Posts

Another Vital game on saturday for us and if our management & squad believe we can get a play off spot we need to start picking up points at home as a quick glance off the "Home games only played" Table puts us bottom though "Away Games only played" puts us 2nd top!! ...

Hope Wee Fergie is fit as seems he was back to his old self last saturday before going off injured im told and two home wins from our next three games in nov might erase the defeat at Spartans for most o us and give the team the belief were not such a bad team on our day as our recent league form would confirm...

After 11 games last season, we had 17 points, so we're only 2 points worse off this time around. A win here is pretty much essential given the tough run we have following it.

I think Clyde will likely win this game.

What you're saying is correct, they are roughly in the same position as last year. But that wasn't the plan. The new manager identified players he didnt feel were good enough & brought in what he would judge to be better. Of course it will only matter where they are at the end of the season, but it should be better than last season given the logic of what he's done. Right now the general consensus is that the best they'll be is battling it out with Berwick, Albion Rovers & East Fife for 3rd or 4th spot.

They're currently 4th, 6 points ahead of bottom and 6 points behind 3rd. Any team who can go on a good run in this league will likely be at least in the playoffs. Now would be a good time to do so & prove his judgement correct.

If going by out league form, we should be picking up 3 more points in this game. I still believe that the wheels are starting to move and as the weeks g on we will start to pick up more points and finish in the play off which was the aim of the season. Need to try turn Broadwood into some sort of fortress again.

Another 3-0 victory would be good. If we drop points we can just moan that Barry is a shit gaffer and has to go.

Bully Wee.

New song for the clyde fans?

We'll be coming

We'll be coming

We'll be coming down the road when you hear the noise of the bully wee boys we'll be coming down the road!

Not exactly my song of choice young Darren but, if you were to change "Bully Wee" for "Gypsy Army" it'd work a lot better!

Well played Shire. Gutsy performance, and if hadn't been for their keeper and the woodwork, there might have not been as much pressure on us towards the end.

Hopefully we can regain a bit of confidence after that.

Shocking performance, so inconsistent and hopeless at home. Players need to stand up and be counted, manager picks same team as last week and when they cross the line they need to take responsibility. Only McGhee, currie, halkett and Durie can honestly look themselves in mirror tonight and say they gave their all.
