St Johnstone legend Steve Maskrey's son is at east fife. David.

I think Ryan Jack at aberdeen is possibly the son of Ross Jack, formerly of the Pars, Norwich, Everton etc. can any sheep confirm this?

I don't know for sure but I'd think it unlikely. What I've heard about Jack is that he's from a hard family from Mastrick or Northfield and is a bit of a nutter.

Thistle's Namibian legend Quinton Jacobs fathered the three or four Jacobs brothers who started out at Livi but are scattered all over the lower quality diddy leagues now. I think they have names like Teaghan, Kyle and Anorthosis. #someboi

Does Gordon Durie's son still play for East Fife?

He's a gypo now. Ferguson loves a player with a tenuous Rangers connection. I believe Walter Smith's nephew plays for them too.

So is football ability largely genetic or do these kids get more opportunities?

It's definitely genetic. Think my grandfather was a good footballer, it has not passed onto anyone as far as I know.
