Sweet Pete Posted October 28, 2014 Share Posted October 28, 2014 I'm looking for a new A3 inkjket printer and scanner for the office. We currently use a Brother MFC-6490CW connected via USB. It has A4 and A3 trays, A3 sized scanner, wireless and Ethernet connectivity and fax functions. New one only really needs to have A4 and A3 paper trays, A3 size scanner and USB connectivity. Have looked at the newer Brother models as the 6490CW seems to be out of production now, but the newer Brother ones I've seen only seem to have A3 capability for one sheet at a time and only scan at A4 size max, rather than having two separate dedicated paper trays and a large scanner. I'd rather stay with Brother purely out of familiarity with the brand as we've always used Brother printers in the office, but wouldn't be against going with another brand based on the requirements for A3 printing and scanning ability. Print cartridge economy/availability/compatibility always welcome, of course. Budget probably in the region of £100 to £300. Any suggestions?
