FlyerTon
Caringorm mountain summit weather station status showing 'possible fault' With a 100mph gust recorded there today, as per the radio, that's not surprising. http://cairngormweather.eps.hw.ac.uk/ Edited December 10, 2014 by FlyerTon

KnightswoodBear
I heard them talking about "what experts have called a weather bomb" on the radio this morning. I'm going to hazard a guess that any expert worth his or her salt would probably disembowel themselves with a rusty nail if they ever used the term "weather bomb". What I think they meant was "what lazy fucking journalists have called....".

What I think they meant was "what lazy fucking journalists have called....". The tabloids must have used up their collection of humourous hurricane names. It's all been downhill since the heady days of Bawbag.

Monster
Around 60mph + here. The bay windows of my executive penthouse property are being buffeted slightly. I'm old enough to remember when a 'weather bomb' was called 'a storm'.

Lisa Cuddy
Out on visits today so I've been walking in a fair bit of rain first thing, out in the hail stones and snow and then, in the car, watched as a tree on Cathcart Road landed on another car in front. It's not been particularly pleasant, it has to be said.
