Shandon Par
I had to carry a 3m long worktop up an unlit external stair in the wind the other night. It was like the sail on a galleon.
ICTChris
Had arranged a £200 callout for someone to sort my roof, just had a guy doing work on a neighbours roof come to the door and offer to do it cheaper.

Some gnarly, couthy outdoors types turned up today to price a new fence and gate. She'd taken matters in to her own hands and asked her cousin for a recommendation. That'll be more Facebook messages warning about dug snatchers in your area, then.
Caledonian1
Woke up at 2.35am this morning to the sound of a screaming woman downstairs. Frightening, but good news....it meant my power was back on and the noise was coming from my tv which was on when I got my latest power cut on Sunday night (was off from Friday night to Sunday afternoon too) Still a few around who have not had power since Friday. The weather today I would have previously described as - really windy. However, after this winter its almost a calm day Neighbours beech tree came down and didnt miss my hoose by much
Billy Jean King
Very early Amber warning for Dudley set to hit Wed into Thursday. 90mph gusts round the coasts and 70-80 inland with the Central belt looking like taking a direct hit. Could be nasty. A 2nd named storm, Eunice then set to follow up on Friday. Happy days !

Clown Job
Decided to bite the bullet and get a price to remove two big ugly fern trees in my back garden. Im crossing my fingers they’ll survive the storm and not destroy my garden shed

Scary Bear
Punters were ignoring storms and they wanted to raise their profile.
Dan Steele
Yup, nobody even noticed gales, trees uprooted, trampolines heading into the distance, heavy rain and hail before the naming ceremony.
Billy Jean King
Rain has passed through now on the Ayrshire coast and its lovely and sunny with just a gentle breeze and mild as can be. Seems strange there is an imminent storm as if anything here it looks like it has passed with zero of note.

LovaMan Bairn
I'm in Oban. It was flat calm but persistent rain up until 13:45, but since then there has been a very noticeable increase in the wind and ferocity of the rain. The sea now looks quite choppy too. -
