The Storms & Severe Weather Thread

I took a quick look at our bins and, worryingly, they're nowhere to be found. Even more worryingly, the big four-wheeled steel Biffa bin that a nearby business uses has also gone on vacation.

If your council bin takes flight and, say, lodges itself into the windscreen of somebody's car, are you responsible for the damage?

Photo is from a guy who stays a few streets away. Entire house roof has came off from one of his neighbours. Iv lost a fair bit of my fence tonight but thankfully moved the car out the drive before it happened. Outer fence is hanging on by a prayer at this stage as well. Looking forward to seing all the damage in the morning. cb180520f0c82aaaf95fbc71d70abb3d.jpg

Everything that happens damage wise outside tonight is an act of god legally. Went through it previously with old neighbours (who were arseholes)

OK this isn't funny any more.

Took my dog out to the toilet and she picked the exact moment a massive gust of wind hit, to drop a shit into the stones.

8 individual pieces.

Not one of them stayed where it was.

Neither did she. She tried to run back into the house.

And the bag I was using to lift it wasn't up to the task.

The wind blew it away just at the very second I was picking up the 8th piece.

And I ended up with a bag containing 7 pieces of shite cartwheeling down the street on its own and me standing there holding the last piece in my bare hand.

20 minutes later and I'm still scrubbing my hands with a nail brush.

If anyone wants to buy a dog, I'm accepting offers.

Send a PM.

Just now, Zen Archer (Raconteur) said:

Fuckin hell. I was just about to report that it seems to be calming down a touch up here. This is mental.

I expect the climate change thread to see some traffic over the next few days. This is going to become a more regular occurrence I fear.

Buses still seem to be running but every train out of Aberdeen was off after about 5 tonight.
