jagfox
Back when shorts were short and Paul McStay was a young prospect. Great stuff. McStay was a class act. That second goal even got Jock on his feet. The nick of Charlie Nic though :lol

lightscamera
My 1st Scotland game must have been round about 93/94 v San Marino, I'm sure we put about 5 past them. Those were the days when we were able to pump diddy nations! Fairly sure that Fat Sally scored a bit of a belter.... Although that could be the memory of 20 odd years distorting things. Barty1884
November 2000 - Scotland 0 - 2 Australia For some reason I always thought this game was at Murrayfield, but everything seems to tell me it was Hampden. Oh well, I was 10. If memory serves, I didn't go to another one until the 4-1 win over T&T at Easter Road in '04 (infamous for the only Scotland goals of Nigel 'the relegation specialist' Quashie & Gary Holt!. I have much fonder memories of my first Scotland away game in September of 2007.....
EKACCIES
First Scotalnd game was at Hampden in 1975 a 3-1 win over Denmark, when they were the whipping boys of the Group. John Greig made a rare appearance at that time, it was shortly after the 5-1 defeat at Wembley.
Andy_K_97
While I remember that my first Scotland game was around 2001/2002 in a "Safeway International Challenge Match" I don't have the ticket and I'm not sure what one it was. The first one I have evidence of being at (I've got the programme and remember this game) was against the Faroe Islands in a Euro 2004 qualifier (Saturday 6th September 2003). Used to go to quite a few but the England game on Tuesday will be my first since 2008 when we played Northern Ireland in a 0-0 borefest. The only interesting thing about that game was that Allan McGregor saved a penalty in front of the Rangers end. I went with the school and along with 2 other pals I managed to sneak off to a pub for a couple of pints before the game, just managing to join the rest of the school group as we went in the turnstiles. If you were old enough to sneak into a pub (presumably illegally, but still) in 2008, surely you can remember your first match from just six or seven years earlier. Come on man. Think! Come on man. Think! On examining the SFA archive the best I can get to that date is a friendly against Denmark on the 21st August 2002. My Dad says I was at that game with him so I'm going to say that was my first one. We got beat 1-0 - that pales into insignificance when I hear of some of the guys on here talking about the great Scotland teams of the 60's and 70's. Wiltord and Henry scored the goals. Paul Ritchie was playing centre-half. I was at that as well. Full house and henry scored at the very last second of the game. Very uneventful from us with regards to attacking. I can barely remember 1 shot on goal we had
