Michael McIntyre did a bit about spelling names incorrectly essentially being a waste of everyone's time as you need to take people through the spelling of your name that they might have intuitively got.

"It's Cameron, with a Y......no, not between the m and r....I'll just spell it out for you"

Just do one.

Banksy, Alloy and Jihad were registered as Scottish baby names last year.

I can't help but think Jihad Palestine McNeill Francis Walfrid O'Malley would be a very Green Brigade name.

One kid was called Oakley. Obviously the parents have never been to Oakley. Unless said child was conceived in the bus shelter next to Oakley Juniors.

Wouldnt have thought that would be allowed.

Wonder how the parents want it pronounced, if it's the traditional way G-had or if J-had is about to be wandering about to everyone's bafflement.

Oakley waged a permanent jihad on The Toon when I was a lad.

A distant relative had a baby boy this morning.

They named the poor wee lad Soul.

I'm hoping by distant you mean north of England. As in, how's 'are' Soul getting on

In 1974, the first and only girl in Scotland to be named "Macarena" was born. Bet she had fun when the song came out.
