Father Ted Posted September 28, 2014 Share Posted September 28, 2014 I dont know what it is about modern day politics in Westminster, but it displays all the hallmarks of mental illness, i.e. repeating a lie often enough that people start believing it en masse; oil, pensions, jobs and finances to name a few. F**k me, the dust has hardly settled from Referendum and we have: 1. Oil. Pre-vote f**ked. Post vote, new technology, discovery and plentiful supply 2. The Vow. Pre-vote written in stone, enshrined, etc, etc. Post vote: What? Too busy we have war to wage. West Lothian question hasn't got answer in 30 years tying it to that could lead to the mother of all f**k ups, not to mention the Barnett formula. I will put money on Westminster fudging this Vow. 3. Pensions. Pre-vote f**ked, pensioners terrified by BT campaigners, etc. Pre-vote UK pensions minister guaranteed pensions, did you not see that? 4. Banks Leaving. Pre-vote doomsday by BT lot. Post vote would have been a good thing moving brass plaques south as they will need another bail-out soon, and if we were Indy we wouldn't have to contribute to another colossal f**k up by the banks. I could go on... No voters are fully entitled to their opinion and vote, but if you cannot notice this acute Borderline disorder that was going onto get your votes, then I give up, its an insult to voters intelligence. ( or at least have trouble accepting it ? Already calls for future referendum ?.... As I have mentioned before ages ago, I wasn't that bothered if Scotland voted YES although I believed we should remain part of the UK ( and I voted NO ) but either way, I would accept the result - What is the problem with ( some ) yes voters ? ( I actually stopped reading / posting on P+B as it became a " but he said / she said " soap opera during the referendum... Yes voters, suck it up and move on..... The Scottish people have spoken... Next step will be Scotlands spending per head falling in line with the rest of the UK's, so pensioners will need to pay 20k+ a year for care, no more free higher education, no more free prescriptions, no more council tax freezes and god know what else you lot up there get that the English don't. Is this a late bit for the "Which Yes voter is the most seething" thread title ? I'm more than happy with my NAW vote and like a fair few, the extra powers weren't really the reason that I voted NAW so I'm happy to wait for the (admittedly rushed through and not thought out) powers to materialise. Cameron was on The Andrew Marr show this morning saying they would happen so I'm happy to wait and ideally get it done properly.
