That's quite pretty tbf. We had another one in our house a few nights ago as well. My wildlife book claims that ours is a scalloped oak moth. Your one is a poplar hawk-moth I think.

"I think even the cleanest, smallest house will have a good 20 to 40 spiders," says Richard.

That's probably manageable for most but what if you live in an older home? You've probably got thousands of eight-legged houseguests.

"Old Victorian houses like mine - with lots of little cracks and crevices and places for things to get in - I wouldn't be at all surprised if we're well into four figures."

@KnightswoodBear sweet dreams in your lovely Victorian Glasgow house....

Daughter just had a screeching meltdown due to a pretty big spider living in a bath towel.... I went and removed it and launched it about 8 feet down the garden path, at which point it started sprinting directly back toward the front door.

Quite amazed that it had the sense of direction tbh....

I launched it one more time and shit the door, but I fully expect it to launch a successful takeover of the house by tomorrow morning.

Am not changing the bed sheets for it. f**k that.

Ok, il change the sheets then.

Right in the middle of spider season, why is this thread only on the third page.
Caught this big bold ass MF sprinting for its hiding place dragging a Tunnocks Caramel having managed to force open the fridge.
