The King (the last king in Africa - perhaps more progressive than Europe) of Swaziland, Mswati III introduced a chastity law in a bid to curb the highest HIV rates in the world (approx 40% of the population). Shortly after, he chose himself a new wife (he already had dozens). The citizens weren't impressed. So he fined himself one cow. Another wife? But around 30 years ago when the then Prince was at school in England, he was prone to lose quite a lot of money in fruit machines. Upon his return, he introduced the lilangeli coin - the exact shape and weight of a £1 coin but worth less than a tenth of that. I've no idea if that is true.
