vikingTON
Only under a flat rate is everyone taxed the same. Nothing theoretical about it, it's fact. To deny the uk tax system is a shambles, is unbelievable. The flat rate is definitely the way forward. Not only is it fair on all, but it discourages the high earners, who pay the majority of tax, from taking their money elsewhere. The tax system in the uk is discriminatory, and a complete shambles. The sooner they implement a flat rate tax system, the better for everyone. ^^^ scrambling for relevance

No, you are wrong. Before you add in complexities such as NI or married couples allowance everybody pays as the same on their first £10k, on their next £20k(ish) their next £130 k and then they are taxed the same after that. How is that discriminatory? It applies to everybody. Unless your arguing for a flat charge rather than rate then those that earn more will pay more anyway.
