Thought the same. After the transfer window we could put out these two elevens from our squad (and these are just a list of players, not my first eleven/second eleven) and still have Robertson, Sheridan and Tolaj left over: Legzdins - Kerr Sweeney Ashcroft Clampin - Byrne Williamson McGowan - McMullan Robinson McCowan Lawlor - Mulligan Fisher McGhee Marshall - Maguire Anderson Cameron - Hannant Thomas Jakubiak With the exception of right back there’s pretty good cover for every position. Which means Bowyer can get the squad playing his way, and when injuries and suspensions hit, then it’s easy to draft in like-for-like replacements without compromising the formation or quality. I’m optimistic. And I don’t like it Edited February 3 by Baffled

Dundee-FC92
The main thing today is performance level from the likes of Jakubiak who should start. He needs to show it from the start - something McCowan doesn't do often enough. Need to see more from Maguire today and hopefully Clampin can slot in at left back and show what he did last week. Another weeks fitness in Thomas aswell with Robinson on last twenty to build his after a lack of games recently. If there's positive signs today then the result is immaterial as we'll be celebrating come May. The season is a marathon not a sprint and the likes of the Ayr and Partick are showing their fat b*****d tendencies as they begin to pant like the proverbial hound. Only a matter of time before the muzzle is placed over Coyles men as their silenced by the Derry Juggernaught. Not that there's many to silence mind you. Let's see what happens today. Thank you.

Dundee-FC92
Very poor from Bowyer today but one swallow doesn't make a summer. Mulligan must stop being played out wide. We move on. Thank you.
Vernon gilmore
Really disappointed bowyer didn’t start with the team that finished last weeks game , then slowly introduce some of the new signings from Wednesday
Fifespud
Disappointing and concerning but not entirely surprising. We really need to find a way to win these games. There’s obviously plenty time but we need to hit top spot at some point and preferably be 4 points clear before the last game. Having seen what this league has to offer anything less than being Champions should be considered failure.

rainbowrising
We hit top spot at the end of December '22 and have won just one game since and been mugged by Arbroath. People have mouthed off since the start of the season about the quality of this league and how once we hit form we will get a grip of the league and win it. We are probably a couple of bad results away from seriously kidding ourselves. Edited February 4 by rainbowrising -

Yenitit
Hamilton scored a worldy with their only shot on target, their keeper pulls 4 excellent saves, the ball doesn’t land to one of our players in the scramble in the 6 yard box, Mulligan missed a sitter and we’ve dominated that game from around the 15 minute mark to the end. One of those days, we move on. Disappointed with the starting line up tbh and McCowan shouldn’t have been subbied as he was tearing the fullback apart. Not a disaster.
Benjamin_Nevis
I see Billy Thomson has sadly passed away. Obviously better known for his St Mirren and Tannadice spells, but he played a few games for us in the mid-90s, most memorably in a Coca Cola Cup tie at Tannadice where after spilling an easy shot to concede the opener, produced a series of absolutely ridiculous saves to keep us in the tie, then a couple to win the penalty shoot-out. Bigmouth Strikes Again
Most gutted I've ever been after a game was the 87 Scottish cup semi final at Tynecastle, (would surely have beaten St Mirren in the final) Thomson was outstanding with save after save, one in particular from a Bomber free kick that was immense. Fantastic goalkeeper. RIP Billy.

Fantastic goalkeeper. RIP Billy. You can relive it here: John Brown would possibly walk today after 10seconds. Never even got a yellow card back then. No wonder he ended up at Ibrox. BTW what is with all the Union Jacks behind the goal? Leftover from a Hearts game? -
