All things Dundee FC

I’m not upset. It’s fcuking hilarious when Dundee fans suggest there are financially sound. You’d think you’d have learned from two previous administrations.

It’s about time Financial Fair Play regulations were deployed within Scottish Football to stop such blatant financial cheating. 😂

Your laughing emoji isn’t fooling anyone.

Fucking rattled.

Watching St Mirrens "fan ownership" model both not work anything like the majority seem to think it does, and then blow up in their faces, will be one of the most delightful events of the next decade IMO.

They prattle on about it as if its some unique idea that they've done better than anyone.

It's quite clear that St Mirren fans don't understand that making a loss doesn't mean debt either. It might well all come tumbling down around us but all they're pointing out is that our billionaire owners have written off under £4m of losses in their time in charge with zero expectation of payback.

If our board done a runner tomorrow, the way they've worked to this point means we'd need to strip back accordingly but still be in no real danger other than someone taking charge from that point which would be where the real danger comes.

The Americans have been in charge for 7 year now and other than a couple of overly ambitious projects haven't really failed on any front other than managerial appointments (which is pretty huge) but the best ownership Dundee fans young and old have ever had of their club.

No-one that I know suggests it is unique. It took us 19 years to finally gain a majority ownership of the club. There are other clubs far ahead of us in terms of experience and knowledge. Hopefully we can learn from their experience and grow the club safe in the knowledge that we have a football club to support while other clubs like Dundee financially cheat their way to “success”. It’s really no different to what Oldco did and what Sevco do now.

You are falling into the trap of people who know nothing making stuff up and you thinking you need to defend it.

I remember the halcyon days of @Yflab's first appearance on the Dundee thread when he said the fan ownership won't go wrong at St Mirren because they have "£150,000 in an emergency fund".

That's about the time we stopped engaging with the fucking idiot.

It's brilliant.

They're completely reliant on Kibble for funding and to keep them out of debt while they build up funds. Kibble will expected to write off any losses.

Quite how that's different to Dundee being reliant on Keyes for funding until they've got rid of Dens, and expecting him to write off any losses, I'm not sure.

That's ignoring the irony of a St Mirren fan, who took the covid money off the government intended to help them stave off staff redundancies etc. and used it to sign new players on larger wages than they could usually afford, calling anyone "financial cheats" of course.

Do you deliberately contradict yourself with every sentence that you write or are you just that daft that you don’t realise your doing it?

Well you could follow some of our simple ideas.

Set a budget and stick to it.

Create a Youth academy and promote from within.

Launch a fans group and buy your club.

See those losses you’ve quoted they’re covered by the owners. Not ideal and problem if the owners decide to up sticks and leave. What team do you support?

At least when Rangers, Hearts and Livingston went into administration they had major honours to show for it.

Last time you lot won a major trophy  Bill Shankly resigned from Liverpool.

It’s clearly not working for you guys.

By overspending you are getting an unfair sporting advantage.

Deal with it. I hope your owners get bored and move on.

Imagine my disappointment when logging on to P&B, checking our thread to see there are like 50 new posts, then discovering that no, we haven't emptied McPake, but the thread has instead been swamped by supporters of the two most beige, boring clubs in Scotland discussing financial matters, badly. Pish.
