johnnydun
Well you know you have had a shite window when the best thing is a 47 year old winger called Berra. Spoiler I actually think he will do quite well for us, as a centre half of course.

djchapsticks
Yeah so Mullen seemed to be a victim of circumstance at Dundee. Sure Mullen will be devastated. We have signed a striker today and will be announcing another tomorrow so Mullen now drops to 5th choice. Shame for the boy.

johnnydun
Best of luck to the lad Field. Not his fault that circumstances changed. With Marshall being out for months, we had no choice.
RossBFaeDundee
Likely explains Marshall's drop in ability in form the last couple of weeks. Hopefully with a healthy LB in Field our defence will be functioning as good as possible in the Morten game.
Shadow Play
How are clubs with a much smaller budget able to cover all positions properly?* I would have happily let Dorrans go to free up cash. * They manage their budget properly and build a balanced team.
johnnydun
Aberdeen signing a full back from Venezuela called Hernandez brought back some great memories. We don't sign them like we used to.... Edited February 1, 2020 by johnnydun

Mullen deal fell through partly due to needing to fund a left back. WHY THE f**k SIGN A RIGHT BACK THEN Ngl, usually I get annoyed by outbursts like these but it's true. Even if it was only a doubt about Marshall why bring in Elliott if you intended to sign Mullen? At least Cammy's relatively healthy. Sounds like a massive clusterfuck. I really hope we win tomorrow, otherwise the forums are going to be too toxic to look at.

srw
So, yet again a disappointing January transfer window, the signings, or rather their positions show a complete lack of thought IMO. Is there no thought process with McPake, is he as daft as he is dull? Two similar GKs, no improvement, when it was very much required. Two RBs, Kerr not the best, will Elliott be an improvement, after reading online, its dubious Four CBs, good luck to McGhee having another defender who cant run next to him Two LBs, Marshall is decent but injured, sign Field who has hardly played in his career, lets hope he is OK Six CMs, despite having so many, he cant get the combination right. Two RWs, McDaid who is more inconsistent than the average winger and Crankshaw who looked decent to be fair. No LW, one of the above to play here, or McGowan or Nelson Two CFs, Hemmings plus an injury prone Nelson If we are going to persist with this 4231, then the midfield simply has to get sorted, and that means Dorrans as an AM, not a bloody third defender. Hamilton Kerr Berra McGhee Field Robertson Byrne Crankshaw Dorrans McDaid Hemmings
TapothehullDee
Right back has been a priority for ages, Kerr is a liability.

Well, Strachan was signing him, McPake is more wary and wants his own targets first and foremost. He's also saying Ross McCormack is in great condition as he employed his own team to get him fit and he's lost an absolute tonne of weight. (He'd still have a tonne to go if the last pictures I seen of him were recent, tbh). Edited February 1, 2020 by Dele

Fifespud
OK, i'm going to say it. I'd rather we'd have kept McIntyre this season. There's absolute no danger he could have been any worse than this absolute shitshow of a season. I think you’re right.
