I was only winding you up originally about being linked to Berra. In our situation with 60 hours until the transfer window closes I’m happy enough to take a gamble on him with a contract to the end of the season and see how things go. I presume he’s a good organiser on the park with being captain at Hearts in both his spells there and might just be what helps us greatly. Reading he’s lost his pace, I’d just expect him to sit a bit deeper and read the game. If we’d been offered him in the summer I think we would’ve all jumped at taking him. Could things really have gone that badly for him in the last 6 months? We’ve had a problem defending set pieces until Meekings came back into the side and I think Berra would improve this as well and I don’t see him being any slower than Meekings or Forster tbh.
