What is?

In other news - our U18's are 3-0 up against Partick Thistle at Ht.

Why as a professional club would you not invest in paid placement for a goalkeeping coach?

The prospective coach will had to have spent a lot of money on official licences and personal development only to be told they will be a volunteer?

It's not work experience. These are professionals and I think it's poor that the club wouldn't be willing to invest in the development of younger goalkeepers.

When you're the voice of reason we've got a problem [emoji38].
Some fans are claiming Kallman isn't the answer based on that 45mins which is madness.

This.

As someone pointed out last week the issue was a complete lack of chances for us against Ayr - we could have had Shankland up front and he wouldn't have scored.

You cant be serious surely? Teams at our level struggle to afford coaching staffs as it is, and Project Brave utterly ridiculous requirements severely hinder how many professional coaches you can hire.

First time I have posted on the forum. As some of the points made on here are sometimes laughable. If you read the topic and not just the heading the prospective coach has the chance to learn and gain further qualifications with the club with the option to take trainings on there own and the potential for a more permanent position. This is for the youth system and not a first team coach. Your point makes no sense imo

I'm with you my friend. Imagine doing volunteer work twa nights a week for a club that is owned by a family that is worth north of 200m US $s. No wonder the rich take the rest of us for mugs.  You get what you pay for.

Anyways on to Perth:

                         Parish*

Kerr Caulker Meekings Ralph

                       Kamara

        Curran Madianga Elton

               Kallman Mendy

I'd rather NM try a 352, but I don't think he will so here's with a hope that Parish makes his return. *It'll probably still be JackHam. Hopefully Kamara can break up play nicely defensively, and our forward thinking midfielders can generate some action at the other end. Let's just hope Kallman and Mendy are ready to come flying oot the traps or we're going to need Elton or Madianga to score a zinger if we're to have a chance.

We opted out as much as possible on that front because the club made a rather healthy statement saying they saw it as a money pit and a gamble.

A gamble is not investing in a quality trainer for the next generation because they will grow up and if we have players not up to standard people will moan about the academy.

Welcome to the forums. You need formal training and qualifications to get that post anyway. Like any company taking on anyone for free they will always justify as "wealth of experience". It's nonsense.

The youth players become our future first team in an ideal world and rather than make more mistakes like PAYING for hamilton we will have decent quality that we can select from our own pool and when the time comes profit from.

It's bad business sense to outsource keepers at a premium if you could pay someone minimum wage to make your own.

Have to I agree with you. It’s a great opportunity for someone to improve their CV. Lots of people volunteer to do stuff, it’s good.

No Project Brave = No funding from the SFA and less money to get coaches.

Project Brave = spending excessive amount of number of coaches instead of quality of coaches.

Theres an issue either way that restricts a clubs ability to have specialised youth coaches in the payroll. Generally clubs, like Saints, have a Gk coach full time who works with senior and youth teams, and a volunteer is brought in as a sort of apprentice who'll coach alongside/coach youths when the senior coach isn't available.

I highly doubt you're hiring some fat balding fan who plays Sunday League to be the only person to coach your youths.

Are people forgetting that this advertisement is just to help out Bobby Geddes, you know, our actual full time goalkeeping coach? If we're willing to put the new recruit through his badges, I expect if he turns out good enough, he'll eventually be employed by the club.

If I had the prerequisite qualification, it's something I'd jump at. These type of roles are a perfect way in for someone wanting to get into football and have a potential fruitful career from.

What ludo has said. Like most things people have read the headline and lost there shit. Perfect opportunity for a ex goalie who wants to move into coaching. Or a youngster who doesn’t want to go to uni and be a coach
