All things Dundee FC

Heard that the Charlie Reilly PCA  is now in doubt due to Bowyer no longer being at the club and Reilly interested in potentially exploring other options.

Surely if your next appointment goes wrong and leads to relegation itll be the end of Nelms?

Seems little doubt this is entirely down to his ego based on that.

In what sense? We're bankrolled by Nelms billionaire mate.

Even if the fans tried to do something drastic such as protests etc to get Nelms out, if he doesn't want to leave (and his own personal businesses are all tied up in Dundee) then there's nothing that could be done.

Does Keyes just have literally no interest at all?

Have to assume he has a breaking point at some point if youre getting relegated due to Nelms decisions and losing money.

We're very much a secondary concern, if that.

For Keyes, we're a side business of a side business. It's all about this mythical stadium project which ties into a whole lot of other business operations for him such as the crematorium, new build houses etc.

Basically, Keyes has allowed his mate to take a few punts with his money at very little serious monetary risk to himself and zero effort required other than to watch a plaything whenever he fancies.

A really underhand bit of work if things have progressed as laid out above.

Shameful.

If another crap appointment like McGhee or McIntyre turns up with the inevitable consequences it would almost be worth swapping my season ticket back to the main stand just to see the abuse.

Ludos done well in creating big drama online. Hope he's enjoying himself - from posting pictures of Strachan and Davidson playing golf months ago to blatantly making up stories.

All a bit embarrassing IMO.

It's not yet clear if Nelms has made a c**t of this or not. It was Nelms who brought Bowyer in who literally has fans in a temper tantrum today on leaving. Lets hope Nelms brings someone else in this season who the fans like so much. That would be two popular appointments in a row for those weeping.

As for the players i couldnt care less if i never seen 90% of them again. The contract situation isnt of concern to  me. The Premiership season is weeks away from finishing as is the play offs. There's plenty of time to sort this out.

Thank you.

Nelms has fkd up again, hasn't he? Sacked or left, Bowyers departure wouldn't have been a secret for Nelms. A replacement should have been lined up and ready to announce.  We have a whole squad to rebuild and resign, we need a manager in place now, someone one who already knows what we need and has signing targets for the prem. If Nelms fannys about for the next 6 weeks then appoints the only applicant left (like last year), we're fkd.

There's a fair few jobs up down South which Bowyer could have a half decent chance of getting. Smooth way out of this for Nelms would be to appoint someone again from down South, hope Bowyer gets either the Blackpool or Doncaster job, have a non-disclosure with Bowyer so he can't do a tell all and hope it all blows over.

Those articles are a damning read - if its not completely true we'll release a statement to rubbish it because it looks very bad.

We wont though, because it inevitably will be.

It’s been 8 hours since Bowyer left, chill out. The optics of a club announcing a new manager hours after their title-winning manager left aren’t great, so a bit wild to expect them to have announced it by now.

This reeks of us having the worst season in SPL history after Callum Davidson signs Ciftci and Nicky Clark on 3 year deals

Clarks seemingly close to one of the largest contracts we've ever handed out, so i doubt he'll leave us.

Bowyer had a 12 month rolling contract and Dundee FC got what they set out for when they appointed him. After talks on the following 12 months a resolution betweem both sides wasn't found.

The large amount of people who booed Dundee off the park last week against Cove and at Arbroath  obviously weren't happy with the football on show. These were probably the same people going tonto after drawing 0 0 at Partick in March and apoplectic after defeat at Cove. One of his first signings in Grayson wasn't given a chance despite being OKAY and fans cheered when he went off injured to be replaced by Byrne.

We were one bad result in the final game of the season from the whole of the fanbase calling for his head.

If the fans wanted Bowyer to stay they couldve done alot more to show support. That's the same old Dundee fans for you though.

Now it's straight onto the back of Nelms and Strachan for getting rid of the man they booed and complained about for half the season. Its alot of bollocks.

Bowyer won't be the difference between us progressing as a club, but indeed the manager that comes in along with the squad built should certainly see us in a better place than under McPake. Remember  Liam Fontaine, Ibsen Rossi, Cillian Sheridan, Ian Lawlor and an unfit Leigh Griffiths coming straight in for a free scoring Jason Cummings. That really was embarassment under McPake.

Thank you.

According to stv news the appointment will be made this week.

Media love speculation as I said earlier. If they're right, they're brilliant and in the know. If they're wrong, they (the club) simply changed their minds.

I personally was told we will have a manager before the season starts and a full squad. Very in the know. Hush hush stuff biggy so it's between you and me.

I’m not crying about his departure or losing my shit at Nelms. If we’d won the league by 15 points it would be a different story.
