He's been out for nearly 9(?) months now. Usual recovery is 4-6 months. Not to play devil's advocate (though I do enjoy doing that), but returning to professional sport from a ruptured achilles is closer to a full year. Not saying I'm happy with what we've got from the deal so far. I'd 100% say though that I'd have binned everybody, Adam included, before getting rid of Cummings. How he of all people were driven out of the team is a travesty and every goal he nets in Australia has me seething. Not at him though, hope he keeps getting better. Fucking McPake, man...

Fucking McPake, man...Cummings definitely didn’t get much of a chance, and when he did he scored more goals than any other striker we had on the books, as he’s again proving I’m Australia. To be fair it seems he’s been ‘misunderstood’ at a lot of clubs in his young life!I hope Sheridan comes back and plays a vital part in our procession back to the big league. If he doesn’t he’ll be getting a proper cunting from me too.
Benjamin_Nevis
Cummings was another massively useless piece of man-management by McPake and again cost us a striker who actually scored regularly. It's not that long ago Danny Johnson was pushed out of a team where he was about the only genuinely regular goalscorer by McPake. Glad to see Cummings doing well though.

Mcpake playing him out on the wing should have been a sackable offence itself and you're totally right RE Johnson. Shambles.

At least with Johnson it was largely because we'd managed to bring Hemmings back. Cummings was shafted aside for inferior players, at that was before he was outright punted from the team in a ridiculous move.
D TOTAL
With zach Robinson being a somewhat decent loan signing, who was the last loan player we had where we actually thought I wish we could keep him permanently?

This Charming Man
Back in the 80's we had Iain Ferguson (had left Dens two years previously in '84) and Derek Ferguson in 88' on loan from the club formerly known as Rangers. Both these fellers would probably have been regulars in today's current Scotland pool call-ups, imho. Latterly, Scott Allan was always a level above anything we had available when he was on loan and probably controversially Simon Murray, on loan when the Scott Allan loan was terminated would still offer more than our existing striker options. Assume GB knows who Greg Stewart is come January, lol. No apologies for the pic from the 80's. Regards
Ludo*1
Forget everything else. Most striking thing is the Hilltown clock in that picture. It's latter day redesigns are as follows:

The contents however remind me of a scribbling on a toilet cubicle wall on a major local building site when I was a very young man in the 1980's. Something along the lines of, "From down the glen came Charles Gray men, a bunch of fairy dancers, one in ten were time-served men, the rest were fucking chancers." Pretty much sums up 90%+ of the above 'professionals'. Regards.
