You get a sense of deja vu when these stories come out of dens.

You mean the same stories that have came out across Scotland (And at bigger clubs than ourselves)?

Ah right so everything is alright then?

Is it at any club below the top flight?

ETA: That question is misleading, because even top flight clubs have done similar in Aberdeen & Hibs. Hearts have done it too. And Dunfermline, released almost a squad full of players.

Deja Vu for what?

What the club could have done was throw everyone on the scrapheap and leave them to glfend for themselves but that would be a deplorable thing to do.

Can't see Gowser and Meekings getting offered contract extensions.

Gowser will sign. Not sure on Meekings.

Have those clubs been kept afloat for the past few years by a generous owner underwriting millions of pounds of losses?

Hibs - Yes. Aberdeen - Yes. Hearts - Well, they have FoH, but Ann Budge has pumped money in - Yes.

Are the club in a position to offer it if they are making cuts?

What Dundee could have done was lived within there means.

But y'know, carry on getting defensive about your clubs financial dealings, there's no way that things aren't alright are they?

Dundee fans more than any, except Livingston should be the most switched in with regards to their clubs finances.

You sound very bitter and upset Grant.

I'd be more worried about Dunfermline considering they didn't even have it in them to take advantage of the furlough scheme.

We have lived within our means. The owner could afford this. Only a global pandemic has stopped this.

Of course things aren't alright. They're not alright anywhere. But at least some clubs done the decent thing and allowed their players to continue receiving an income through the furlough scheme.

Those with glass houses should not throw stones you know.

Ah, yes. We should have foreseen a worldwide pandemic, budgeted for relegation and just moved to another stadium with lower rent.

How much do you charge per hour for these words of wisdom?

You can be more worried about Dunfermline all you want, I'm not. We got advised not to keep players on so we didn't. As did most other clubs.

Ah yes, the good Dundee book of finances.

I mean, that's never blew up in your face before has it?
