MarbellaDEE
Got my tickets for the deefiant night. Looking forward to it and hopefully a decent turn out. f**k knows how bad things would be now if it wasn’t for them, would we even have a club to support? Wonder if Rab will get his spacehoppers out for the boys?

And that's before relegation and the Championship season. Not surprised at all to see Dundee fans doing nothing as their owners allow ths club to become further and further indebted to them. I'm sure they wont hold you to ransom further down the line due to it.

Thank god our owners aren't at odds with the management and (mostly) the support and look to want to get away at the first instance.

What are St Johnstone fans doing with Steve Brown who's now making annual losses with the club?
Fife Saint
Net 400k profit lads during his tenure lads. Standalone strength and a vibrant squad full of homegrown talent.

We're in profit during his spell in charge, and the "cash in the bank" is higher now then when he took charge. Hows Dundees owner got on? I'm not even sure what you could do, but just sitting back and allowing your club to continue hemorrhaging money because you've decided a new stadium is the only way to fix it and the boy leading you down the path has convinced you it's for the best doesnt sound like a great plan.

Steve Brown and Tommy Wright have spent the best part of a decade mewling about each other in the press. Presumably they thrash it out in a hotel room as there's silence until the next transfer window.

Easy answer to remedy the performance of an existing extremely average under-performing overpaid team , sign a striker who returns 30+ goals per season at lower league level. Sorted. 23 minutes ago, Yenitit said: We are very lucky Mr Keyes is around or we’d be fucked. It’s fine and well him writing the money off but this level of losses isn’t acceptable. Payoffs are obviously hitting him hard in the pocket and Nelms needs to make no more f**k ups. Agree totally, we are incredibly lucky to have Tim Keyes financial backing and ongoing interest in our club. However the current league and hence financial situation is 100% due to the managerial appointments following on from Paul Hartley's dismissal. Only financial positive being the transfer fee secured for Jack Hendry. As we know these ill advised appointments were made by Tim Keyes' personally appointed man on the shop-floor, John Nelms. If the James McPake experiment does not go to plan, Gordon Strachan is the only professional we have available who should imho be tasked with securing any potential future replacement. Concerned regards and merely my opinion.
Fife Saint
Strachan is the first useless luxury that should be getting the chop when the panic kicks in.

Well, he's covered the shortfall every single season for almost 7 year now so he's certainly got credit (Pardon the pun) in the bank and a degree of trustworthiness. I've absolutely no doubts if the stadium thing falls through we will be in the shit. He saved us from financial oblivion under fan ownership though and they've total control of the club. A large portion of the fanbase (Rightly or wrongly) don't trust the fans group due to their incompetence last time round so this is our last hope basically. Most clubs - including yours right now, are in the hands of an owner. Ours always puts a positive spin on things (As Americans tend to do) whilst yours is talking about how things can't continue the way they are. That's not me having a pop btw, it's just the reality. It's grim but this time there's little much we can do. Keyes keeps ploughing his money in and has done for a significant period of time - the losses would be much less if Nelms knew what a football manager was. What on earth does Gordon Strachan know about youth development? And why do you have a former Premier League, Champions League and Scotland manager on your books and yet persist with having the work experience boy in the dugout?

Why wouldn't Gordon Strachan know about youth developement? You've literally wrote his experience in your post. He is in that job as that's the job he wants. It's the only job he wants. He has said so, numerous times.

What a pathetic take this is honestly. FPS are the majority owners of the club, and are more than aware of the financial demands of what they're trying to achieve would be. Considering the number of bad decisions that have come from John Nelms, the consistent support that comes even at the lowest times still shows up. Meanwhile in Perth, your owner trusts your fanbase so little after years of not showing up during your golden era that he is now actively giving away the majority of the stadium to away fans to compensate for the lack of interest from those at home. If anything is true over the last couple of decades about the Dundee support, it's that we do what we can to support our team through its toughest times. The Motherwell game was a crescendo caused by various factors: date, time, cup game, gulf of quality in teams, and of course the underwhelming results throughout the season. One game isn't an indicator for a support's lack of initiative. When Brown finally sees fit to pack it in, I hope your support does near what ours has. Chewing Taffies
I doubt Keys will be sweating about what is a drop in the ocean for him. He could buy whoever owns the country bumpkins in Perth with his spare change.
