harry94
I found a spreadsheet I did years ago of Hartley's signings, not done it for McCann but will give it a go later if there's interest. The likes of Andy Black, Carreiro, Higgins and Jesse excluded because they were signed as under 20s players to play in Eddie Johnson's squad. It does feel like there's maybe someone missing but can't think of who when I look at it. Manner of departure listed as well and I worked out how many years of contracts were terminated early. Apologies for the shitty formatting but under Hartley, we had just approaching 16 years of contracts that were effectively terminated early (although I counted it the months we tried to offload players on loan as well) where we were liable for some of or all of the outstanding contracts. Very likely that we were a few hundred grand in paying players off or picking up some wages when they were on loan. What you have to remember is in addition to this, when we were promoted in 13/14, many players had automatic renewal clauses or contracts Hartley wanted to end. We won't know the full figure but certainly Conroy, Benedictus and Nicky Riley were all contracted for additional seasons; probably Gavin Rae too although he made his own decision to retire in Australia so I doubt that we paid anything there. Peaso and Gary Irvine also got terminations six months early. That would add another 4 years taking us to be approaching 20 years of pay offs by including those players. Fifespud
Conroy, Benedictus, Riley, Peaso and Irvine were all half decent in their own way [emoji23]
Fifespud
Morning Spud I think that advert was probably around 1984/85 season, not long after Archie took over. Re tall striker, too early for Graham Harvey, I recall we swapped Colin Harris for him, maybe thinking about a young Colin Hendry, he initially played up front around that time. Reckon feller at the rear on the right is Walker McCall, however there was a lot of big, big hair going on in the 80's!!!! Best regards It was Harvey I was thinking off. It could well be Walker McCall.

Chateau Lafite
Conroy was good at free kicks . Think that's about it .Irvine I quite liked. He was good at free kicks and scored quite a few. I also remember his belter against United across the road to put us one up with 10 men after a cracking cross from Easton. Great celebration for that one!

Derry Alli
Carriero was very decent but become very impatient after his loan spells. Plus he basically lived in Private Eyes.
