All things Dundee FC

The two Dundee clubs are going to body this league aren’t they?
I have a lot of mates on both sides and I’m nervous as f**k but will be buzzing or happy for my mates either way.
obviously I’ll be there as usual to slag off my dee mates but f**k me what is the point without the best derby  in the land?
long live the Dundee clubs x

Personally I hope United go bust.

Thank you.

I’m on my phone, can someone please red dot this for me. What a minter trying to get into bed with your rivals.

I'd have given MotM to either Robertson or McGowan. Robertson due to his age and being a class act, but all things equal, I thought McGowan was on a different level to the rest of the players today.

to think their was folk on here and other Dundee pages that wanted rid of McGowan for the coming season , has easily been one, if not the best player since McPake got the job

If we were still in the premiership I dont think he could cut it week on week. So in that respect I wouldn't keep him.  His experience at Championship level though is still there. Man of the match for me yesterday.

Yes, Gowser was class yesterday. My MOTM also. My only gripe with him is that I feel he slows the play down too much when we’re attacking with his turning and twisting. Others may view this differently but I feel he could pick a pass quicker than he does.

I can understand this view , his style of play costed us in the middle of the pitch last season as he does hold on to the ball longer than needed at time , although hopefully with the quality of footballer being 'slightly' lower this may work in his favour

yeah like I said above he does like to hold on to the ball until the very last moment and this is sometimes a positive , like yesterday I think it was Robertson won the ball played it to Mcdaid , if Mcdaid held on to the ball longer  therefore committing the defender the path on goal would have been clear for nelson instead he rushed a pass over and we lost a very good chance to get a second. if McGowan was in that situation his willingness to hold the ball until the right pass presented itself would have paid dividends.

It wasn't necessarily how long McDaid held on to the ball, it was the weight of his pass. He completely shirked any responsibility before holding his arms outstretched when the move collapsed (entirely due to him). Can see him being hounded, tbh.

there is a few things lacking in his play , like you said his ability to play a decent pass/cross is a problem , but I do think in that situation he should have ran at the defender committing him , bearing in mind it was 2 v 1 we would/should have scored

but again could have been 3 v 1 and if his passing isn't unto scratch takes away any advantage

He’s shite mate. He’ll have 4 or 5 games where he looks unstoppable but most of the time he’s useless.

Did you get one yourself this year or still PATG for work?

Still PATG. Shifts got changed two weeks back so I'm missing Dunfermline now. Took a holiday for derby, if allocation gets dropped I'll miss that too most likely.

Works paying boys off yet turning down my request for my redundancy.

Shitshow.

Is Robertson a Dee?

ETA: He's tied up to 2021 - I'd be handing him a Jim McLean style 10 year deal.

Yeah 100%, he was a season ticket holder last season. For obvious reasons that wouldnt have been renewed for this season lol.
