Benjamin_Nevis
I'll throw in a few from further back... 1. Which out of favour Aston Villa striker came to Dens in 1989 with a view to signing but instead signed for Scunthorpe United after watching Dundee draw 2-2 at home to Hearts? 2. Who did uncompromising cult hero Wes Saunders make his debut against and what was the score? Bonus point for naming the player he completely marked out of the game. 3. In 1992/93, Dundee twice came back from 2 goal deficits to rescue a point with 9 men. One was that mental 4-4 draw at McDiarmid Park, who was the other against? 4. Daryll Horgan was recently the first Hibs player to score twice at Tynecastle since which ex-Dundee player did the same in 1985? 5. Which Dundee player had his penalty shoot-out effort saved in that epic Dens cup tie against Hearts in 1995 and who missed the next Hearts pen? 6. First Division Dundee knocked Premier Division United out of the League Cup at Tannadice in 1996 on penalties. Which veteran striker scored the decisive penalty in the shoot-out? 7. Dundee signed Jim Leighton from Man United in 1992 - who did he make his debut against, and what was the score? 8. What was unusual about Dundee's 2-2 draw at McDiarmid Park in 1995? 9. Which talented Rangers midfielder did we briefly sign on loan in 1989-90?

Benjamin_Nevis
ah right cheers...didna realise they missed 2.Everyone remembers Jamiesons, prob because it gave Weighorst the chance to win it, he was an ex-Dee and it was pretty funny. It was a totally surreal night tbh
Meeniedee
aye should have been about 5 up at half time....that team would comfortably hold its own in the league now....and to think after reaching the final they seemed to just down tools in the league and finished 5th I think.

Crawford
Just the one question inspired by the St Johnstone away kit one. What team wore our kit in a cup match against Dundee United and won? No googling you cheats.

Well he coped well enough to play on at Hibs and Aberdeen for another seven seasons after he left us, including getting back in the Scotland squad and being first choice keeper for the '98 World Cup campaign.

Henry Smith saved Paul Tosh's spot kick, and immediately missed his own penalty wildly. It was a game which summed up Smith's career perfectly. He made three absolutely world class saves early on or the game would have been over by half time. As it was we were 2-0 up. Hearts then pull level, only for Smith to completely cock up a passback gifting Paul Tosh a goal, Weighorst's 30 yarder went straight at him but still flew into the net, then of course he made a c**t of his penalty. It was also Smith's last competitive game for Hearts. Lawrence bottled taking a pen. 3 hours ago, Boo Khaki said: I'm sure Leighton's debut was against the currants at Dens, the game Dundee won 4-3 Nope. I think his final game might actually have been against Rangers. We lost 3-1 at Dens and he conceded an absolute trundler from a free kick after making an arse of setting up his wall. 3 hours ago, Bigmouth Strikes Again said: That was another disaster, Jim Leighton, the bandy-legged baffoon couldn't cope with the new pass-back rule. Yup, started well but it went tits up from there. Remember the 3-6 debacle away to Thistle? Horrific. 2 hours ago, Ludo*1 said: 6. Ian Ferguson? Correct.
