I think McCann has had a harsh rap over the Allan loan. How many games did Allan start in which he was influential, as opposed to continually making passes that may have brilliant if only his teammates had been able to read them? He obviously had something that nobody else in the squad had, but he was guilty of repeatedly conceding possession cheaply. Allan made some superb contributions coming off the bench, especially in the home win against Rangers and away win at Hamilton. People would then clamour for him to start, but he never delivered consistently. So he'd be back on the bench from which he would then put in a starring role, and the cycle would repeat. He was a great sub, but it was hard to justify a spot in the starting 11. It was different with Hibs. He slotted straight in there. The team didn't have to be rejigged to accommodate him.

Dee Bliss
A 20 year old that’s already been capped for his country, that’s a more than decent coup for the club

The thing that infuriated me about McCann's use of Allan was that whenever he was on the park it was invariably out on the left. Meanwhile, we had to put up with watching Gowser and El Bak etc play the central attacking role behind the striker. Utterly nonsensical. Allan is perfect for that role, yet McCann seemed to think he was a left winger. Infuriating when everyone else who played through the middle was completely ineffective.

DigOutYourSoul
Hopefully some of the ridiculous over the top hysteria over the last week might calm down a little bit now. We don't have a clue how long this has been in the works but, if you can take the clubs word at face value and we've beaten some European clubs to his signature it could have been bobbling away for a while. Some of the reaction over the last week has been over the top to say the least - with people essentially calling for McCanns head and saying he was done now looking pretty stupid. Hopefully this is the signing we need to round off what looks like a pretty good squad. This is the type of punt the club should be taking as, assuming we have a one sided option to make it permanent, all the cards are in Dundees hands if he turns out to be a player. Assume he'll probably get a run out tomorrow if things are going well, and even more so if not! Welcome to the club. Edited to add, FC Inter have a video interview with him, seemingly conducted a little while ago after he scored a hattrick 2 weeks ago, where he speaks in perfect English. Dariusz
Promising signing. We do need another striker though. Just takes Kallman to get injured and we're back to where we were.
Netan Sansara
His movement to nip in front of the defender for the third goal looks promising. Hopefully turns out to be a decent signing. A 20 year old promising youngster with the option to sign sounds like a bit of decent business.
DigOutYourSoul
https://minorleaguesoccer.wordpress.com/2018/08/17/who-is-benjamin-kallman/ another good artcile here. Apparently spent some time out of the team last month due to being linked with a move away. Article is very complimentary.

It's a fair point about him being better behind the striker, but that raises the question of what we should have done with the wide left position that was always a problem area. It's part of what I was getting at about rejigging the team. Anyway, on the face of it Källman looks a promising signing. Here's hoping.

Boo Khaki
Double Hat-trick v's Ayr, causing Shankland to collapse in floods of tears as he watches his dream move to Dens evaporate. Gowser then teabags a prostrate Shankland, and at the behest of the Derry decks Ian McCall.

Crawford
All jokes aside that boy has some serious pace. Just watched his leaving video and his last game he scored a hat trick and ran all I've the shop. We have the poacher we need.

That article has got me excited - sounds like a cracking prospect who would thrive in a team that create chances !
