Three of the of four group winners have been drawn away from home. Looks like it would have been better for us financially if we would have lost to Dalbeattie. The difference between having to fork out money for a bus and gaining income from the gate can be quite sizable.

You've also got the possibility of a midweek away tie in the image printers cup when there possibly could be free Saturdays depending on results.

A chaotic and rushed way to finish in what has otherwise been a successful 2nd LL season.

Selkirk 0-7 Vale of Leithen

Congratulations to Vale, securing the desired thumping victory margin while avoiding the unlikely (but dreaded) 0-5.

Scottish Borders Section

Vale of L.... P2.. 4pts, +7

Gala......... P2.. 4pts, +5

============================

Selkirk...... P1.. 0pts, -12

They haven't, tbf, does say:

Or an adjacent Saturday if both clubs are otherwise idle.

Wednesday's scenarios, from BSCG:

http://www.bscglasgow.co.uk/bscglasgownews/the-whitehill-scenarios-scottish-sun-plus-lowland-league-cup.html

BSC Glasgow have been left with a simple scenario when they face Whitehill Welfare in the Scottish Sun Plus Lowland League Cup crunch at Lochburn Park on Wednesday April 22 (kick-off 7.45pm) – win and make the last eight.

Section A in the tournament is poised on a knife-edge with FIVE different scenarios possible as ourselves, champions Edinburgh City and Welfare try to join section winners Spartans in the quarter-finals.

Right now City lie second with two points from their completed programme with Welfare and BSC tied on a point apiece after both had narrow losses against Spartans and draws with the champs.

League Cup rule 3 now means this:

1. If BSC Glasgow and Whitehill draw 0-0, Edinburgh City qualify because they will have scored more goals than the other clubs on two points based upon a four team section

2. If BSC Glasgow and Whitehill draw 1-1, Whitehill qualify because all three clubs will have an identical record so we then rely upon results between only the three clubs, in which Whitehill will have scored more goals than the other two

3. If BSC Glasgow and Whitehill have a score draw 2-2 or more, a play-off match will be needed between BSC Glasgow and Whitehill

4. If BSC Glasgow beat Whitehill, BSC Glasgow qualify

5. If Whitehill beat BSC Glasgow, Whitehill qualify.

1) if it's 0-0 going into the 91st minute the fixture secretary will run onto the pitch and knock one into which ever goal takes his fancy

or

2) If it's a score draw of 2-2 or more there should be a big pagar between the teams and the last man standing goes though.

It's an intriguing one this tie- BSC are not bad on that pitch whereas Whitehill might have that "new broom" boost that teams get when a new manager is appointed...

Delighted to still have a chance of making it through. From what I seen of BSC a few weeks ago it's going to be very tough though. Despite some saying WWs season is over a cup run or two would give everyone at the club a much needed lift moving forward.

I was also going to suggest a game of dominoes to settle any drawn tie as Sir Peter could be your secret weapon but you may as save time and go straight to having a pagar!

C'mon Tam it's 2015 things have moved on. Darts, tiddlywinks ... a dance off though we're up for it.

Shame it's not at Ferguson Park could have got the bowls out or putting ...

Tonights game was really even in the first half...but after halftime we lifted the tempo and it seemed that Whitehill could not live with us...it was a well contested match but I thought in the second half BSC were fantastic...

The free Kick from Ross Mckinnon was good enough to win any game, terrific strike....quarter final versus EKFC to look forward to now.

Fair summary Craigyboy. All the best in the Quarter Finals.

Whitehill with a shocking end to the season...what's happening up there!!

It's why they might have been better placed staying with lawson til the end of this season. He at least may have known what to expect from the gala and BSc games. No disrespect to seags but he can't have known much about the opposition of the last week.

Got to agree, crazy getting rid of Lawson at this stage of the season. Carnie doesn't have the experience to change a team in decline in such short time. Suppose the up side is he'll get to know the players and decide who is staying or going. The job is a tough one, Lawson won the first league in many years for ww then gets emptied season or so later.
