lichtie23 5,565 Report post Posted September 19, 2020 So it appears before we play Ross County in the Betfred our players must be tested for Covid. An expense the club can certainly do without unfortunately

Smokie_Bacon_crisps 738 Report post Posted September 23, 2020 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54266262 Sadly too good to be true for us. Ross County are just paying for Brora Rangers and Elgin City which is still a great gesture by them.

Gayfield 195 Report post Posted September 25, 2020 Supporter Update Last Saturday the team played their first stadium pre-season friendly and it was great to see the players back together and on top of that a very encouraging performance against Brechin City. The build up continued this week with another closed door friendly at our Letham training ground against Jeanfield Swifts who included former Lichties Chris Scott and Keiran Stewart. This was another good test for the team and it was Luke Donnelly who fired us into a two goal lead before Jeanfield pulled a goal back, but further goals from Kris Doolan, Scott Stewart and Michael Ruth meant a 5-1 win for the Lichties. Tomorrow will be another strong test as we welcome former Lichties Stuart Malcolm and Barry Sellers with their Forfar Athletic side to Gayfield for another closed-door friendly. It goes against everything we stand for as a club, but we must appeal to all fans to please stay away from Gayfield Park. We have been carrying out measures to ensure the safety of all our players, coaches, backroom staff and the visiting team and officials. Whilst we fully understand there is a natural urge to come down this is an appeal from the club to please stay away so there is no chance of jeopardising or risk our return to playing football. We will have full social media updates from Gayfield, as well as team-lines, photographs, GoPro Goals with match highlights. Live Streaming We had hoped that tomorrow’s game would have seen fans be given access to our new streaming service for the first time, but unfortunately matters out of our control have meant this isn’t possible for tomorrow. There has been a delay in the installation of a new fibre line at Gayfield, however with the help of the SPFL this should be installed very soon. Once we have this in place and the new Pixellot camera system (which has been installed on the main stand above the tunnel) testing we shall be in the position to release more details of our exciting new Arbroath FC TV service and how we will be able to stream league matches live from Gayfield. This is a very challenging time for everyone in the world. We know football is a huge part of your life and whilst we at the club face a difficult and changing landscape without our loyal fans backing us inside Gayfield at the start of the season, we are all working our very hardest to make sure the team is ready and that our new streaming service is ready to launch soon. Thank you and C’mon the Lichties.
