Tho I agree Mikey has had a very good season I’d personally say both Miko and TOB would be more deserving of player of the season so far

Thought with the absence of Bobby, Mikey took the game by the scruff of the neck, he was superb

After an even first half Arbroath just started lumping it forward after going behind. A real lack of quality in the final third and a late strike from long range was the only save of note I can recall for the home keeper.

Tom O'Brien is a class act, no disrespect but he deserves to be playing at a higher level.

Without wanting to rub it in. Given neither of us are good enough to get past league 1 diddies does the midweek game have much chance of getting moved to the free weekend?

Well pointed out, surely the clubs would prefer a Saturday to a mid weeker.

Even he's better than what he showed tonight.

He's no going anywhere.

And yes it was painful viewing all round but especially in an attacking sense.

Thought we were alright first half, although to be through on goal 3 times and not even get a shot away is criminal. They mentioned on BBC Scotland that we apparently had 67% possession in the first half.

Second half was atrocious, as bad as I’ve seen in ages, whenever we concede first we never look like getting anything from any game.

Any midweek fixture for part/ time players is a disadvantage,if your alarm is going off at 6.30 am to go to do a job, then thats not the same as someone rolling out of bed for a 10 am get together,as is ,in the full time game.

Could have easily been played on the free weekender (8th) but the SFA are clowns and don’t help out part time clubs especially, Falkirk were happy to have it then too, more money and more fans on a Saturday 🙈🙈🙈

14 cup finals now to focus and look forward to consolidating our status here in the championship which is way more important IMO, Nevermind about Hearts as we will be playing them 4 times anyway  next season 🙊🇱🇻⚽

What are you on about? If we had won last night we’d be playing Hearts on the 8th

Oh yeah shite they couldn’t have had the game on the 8th as that’s when the next round was 🙈🙈🙈 sorry my bad mate, that’s the problem with midweek games as the players gave everything on Saturday and probably had nothing left in the tank last night and have now got to go to tannadice on Saturday, It’s mental, it’s just frustrating we didn’t do enough at Gayfield to finish the tie there  😭

Don't think fitness was the issue.

Our over reliance on Bobby going forward was on show again last night more than ever after seeing the difference between Saturday and Tuesday.

All we had last night going forward again was a chipped ball up to LD who is against 2 centre halves and trying to work it to a 2 on 1 down the left with Hammy and Bobby.

We couldn't get up the park, don't think we had a shot on target over the 2 games against Falkirk. Really poor.

Bobby wasn't at his best again but he did ok in the first half.

I'd like to see Bobby given a chance in the team alongside Wighton and Hilson to take the load off the guy to start with and to see what the 3 of them would be like together.

It was disappointing but staying in the league is definitely the priority. So full focus on that and let's see what happens from here.

Hindsight is a great thing, but we looked quite leggy in the second half, you wonder if Swankie, Gold, Murphy, Kader all should maybe have started and gave us a bit freshness.

Thought the first half was fine, fairly comfortable and had plenty of the ball. 2nd half was poor, agree with the point about going a goal behind, we just didn't find a way to create.

Thankfully its the only game where Hilson and Wighton are unavailable, they would've made a huge difference last night.
