The fucking f**k.

Don't know what's worse,  the costume or the white legs.  At least put a pair of football socks or trackie bottoms on.

Playing on them for a hard 90 minutes is completely different to training on them, I don't like them and prefer grass. Toshney who came on loan to us last year was told he was coming to us because our pitch was grass although he lasted one game, Murphy at Rangers has been told he wont be playing at Killie or Hamilton this year I think.

Both very injury prone players who've been injured on grass numerous times..

I don't like some of the plastic parks purely cause of the spectacle on some of them, mentioned Airdrie, Clyde and Stenny stick out but think some of them are great and we have played some of our best stuff on them

Callum Patterson.. told not to play on kazakhstans plastic... San Marino's grass injured him

There has been much research done on this and as far as I have read all analysis comes back saying there is no increased risk of injury on a plastic pitch. People are entitled to their opinions, people are most than entitled to dislike them and not want to play on them/ not want them in the SPFL etc. I personally would be very, very unhappy if Gayfield was ever not a grass pitch for multiple reasons. However, arguing that they cause more injuries than grass pitches in the face of all research done to compare the two seems somewhat silly, no?

Gayfield has one of the best playing surfaces in the lower leagues and has continued to improve in last 5 years

It’s fairly good but not as level as it used to be - take a look up the touch lines or the hillocks in the goalmouths. I was thinking it might need relaid or at least significant work some year soon. Great sandy soil underneath means excellent drainage

Let Wilson and all the trialists start tonight. Let’s not risk injuries against that mob

Best I can make out it looks like Gav and McKenna up top. Linn and Kader on wings with gold and whatley in centre mid. Thompson and Wilson at CB. Someone who is there can confirm tho.

Should never have agreed to this friendly

Totally agree, said it when it was arranged,

few meaty challenges could of had a few injuries,

Mo treated it like a cup final and we didn’t turn up at all

Defence all over the shop tonight especially first 45 swanks and McKenna poor no creativity in the middle of the park had a bit more about us second half with spence and Doris upfront.

Trying to take the positives from that, James Murphy in the middle of the park looked a good player I thought. McKenzie showed up better than he has previously, but the other trialists should be told thanks & goodbye.
Absolutely shitting myself at Wilson up against Dobbie on the opening day

Wary of judging the guy on one game but Wilson was completely out his depth, looks like a panic signing from that tonight.

But of an off night but all about fitness ahead of the weekend, good for McKenna to get some minutes.

Just have to put Ricky Little on Dobbie instead!
