The Arbroath Thread

After yesterday not only do we have the best defence in the league we now have the best attack!

Settle fella. That defence is still capable of some f**k ups.....for example Montrose's goal at Links Park last Saturday

Michael Travis was on the bench for us today as a trialist, came on for the last 5/10 minutes so didn't really get a proper look at him, what was he like at Arbroath? I thought he was meant to be a centre back but he came on and went to left back.

At best a solid cb. Distribution and footballing ability is very poor. Usually played at cb with the occasional game at rb. Think he just got fed up sitting on the bench with us.

Played right back for us tail end of last season and when he has played for us this season, but naturally a centre back. Will chip in with goals too.

We should get Murray and Whatley tied down, assuming they are only contracted till the end of the season.

Think everyones contract is until the end of the season, possibly with the exception of linn? Great credit has to go to sheerin for these 2 junior finds, possibly 2 of his best signings and never played under him!

Will the Annan game be on next sat with Annan drawing with Brechin. Also with Berwick and Albion R drawing it could leave Arbroath and Elgin without a game next Sat.

Dayle Robertson back from the states, where he was top scorer in the NCAA league and got in the all-American team (even though he's scottish), don't know how long he's back for but be good to see him instead of Buchan

Probably just back for the festive period. Unlikely to see him back in an arbroath shirt but good to hear him doing well

He's just back for the festive period and has signed for Jeanfield Swifts JFC where Neil and Heggie the coaches from last years U19 team now run.

He scored a total of 30 goals which was as you said top scorer in a competitive league

Looks like a possibility that Al Zubaidi might be leaving us, there certainly seems to be some uncertainty if he will be having his loan extended. We need to strengthen centre defence imo as we played with 2 midfielders there on Sat although both performed admirably. Maybe Trav jumped too early as there might have been a role for him now. With the right reinforcements brought in January we could be in for a special season. Hope so anyway. C'MON LICHTIES
