Hammerafc
I wouldn't disagree we need some better attacking options but we have to give those that we have a run in the team as they are better than not having any.Shanks scored against Queens and could have got a second. Give him a run of games and see if he can build a partnership and get some confidence. We are getting in some great positions but nobody in the striker area to bag the goals.

See if we weren’t rooted to the bottom spot after being absolutely dreadful for 90 percent of the season you may have a point but the evidence speaks for itself We have played in L1 recently we all know the standard, I watch L1 highlights every single week and keep up to date with every team in every league. That is not an unfair comment at all. What team in L1 would be wanting Fosu / Corfe / Isiaka / Shanks / Paterson to come in and play for them? Who are these teams that these guys would play for? And can you please stop saying the word hysteria, it’s anything but hysteria. ETA - and why do you think the manager is choosing McKenna as a number 9 instead of the guys on the bench? Why do you think Goldie got put to LB instead of Hancock? That’s happening for a reason, that reason is the fact the squad is not upto it. I'm not the only one though, am I? Edited, in fact, let's run this through. My argument is that the players are not poor. McKenna has not magically become a bad player, O'Brian (oh look, he was carrying an injury after all) is not suddenly league 2 standard. What is poor is that the manager is not picking the right teams, and is not getting the best out of the players we have. You seem to be arguing that actually, its our players that are the problem, and that the manager, who signed these players, is not playing them because he knows they are not up to it. This implies that you think the manager is in fact putting out the best possible teams with the squad he has. And if you think that, then I suspect you are very much on your own. Whether that be Hilson, Shanks or whoever, someone needs a run of games seems like if you dont hit the ground running as a striker in the one game you get a chance, you dont get a look in again.
AFC360PUNK1320
Although the lack of "known" strikers signed at the start of the season was a concern the first major concern for me (and many other Red Lichtie fans before/during/after the game) was the home match against Queens Park when DC in some mental crazy decision decided to play Luke Donnelly in central midfield when he had a capable and proper central midfielder (James Craigen) sitting on the bench!! This was the game where Simon Murray absolute "bossed" us (oh to have him back in a Red Lichtie shirt). Since then DC has made some bizarre line ups and subs and i agree with the majority on here that he has to give Shanks or Hilson (or both) and Isiaka a run in the team, not playing a proper forward (or bringing them on) at Saturday's game was unbelievable. Where this club has come in the last few years on and off the park is superb and this includes with the help of DC and for that i will 100% support him and i think he deserves a chance to get us back on track and save us from relegation but i also blame him for (in the main) pipe-reek signings and letting other players go who should still be at the club, and please sometimes admit "I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE" like everybody else does in everyday life. C'Mon the Red Lichties, 36-0.

Tattie36
Watching the Cove v QP game on tv tonight and we’re so far off this standard it’s scary. Cove winning 1-0 at HT but both teams creating loads of chances, playing fast attacking football. There’s no way Cove are going to be relegated, so the way things are looking it’s between us and Accies for automatic relegation, unless another team gets drawn into it or we hit some form.

They’ve also got guys playing who were with them in the HL yet we won’t give Shanks a game. Scully got another 2 tonight. Their attacking options are head and shoulders above ours. It’s a disgrace the state of our strike force. After a season like last, we should have had guys queuing up to sign for us but instead we have the worst attack in the league... by miles. Cove are also part time and newly promoted so there’s no reason they should have a forward line much more competent than ours. We’ve absolutely fucked it. clashcityrocker
It's only November and just 13 games into the season - but we are already in relegation trouble. Lose today and we will be cast adrift at the foot of the table with Hamilton. Today is a must win match - we need 3 points, anything less and we are heading down a one way street. In Bobby Linn we trust - can Bobby pull us out of this mess ? You can guarantee 100% that he will do his best.

Winning today would be very welcome but I just can’t see it. As I said in a previous post, we only scored once (a fluke) v ICT in 6.5 games last season when we were scoring loads and winning most weeks, so really can’t see that changing today. 0-0 best we can realistically hope for.

lichtie23
A few positives to take out of yesterday. I thought we looked more of an attacking threat and Shanks done enough to warrant a start against Cove next week.
lichtiekev
Says another about the position we are in with how quiet it is on here, Thought it was a decent point yesterday but at this point we are needing some victorys, Though Allen wa good last week but yesterday he was absolutely anonymous again, expect so much more from him, 3 points is a must on Saturday
