Sorry, had to say it. But I do really feel for decent Raith fans who must be wondering what the hell just happened.

Thats better.

Really feel for the many good Raith fans- woke up to a nightmare that isn’t going away. Got the draw away to Celtic, suddenly were presented with cash they didn’t budget for and the prize of promotion clouded their judgement. McGlynn has shown raw ambition, at any cost, is a powerful sin and as I said clouds good judgement. Maybe also, a wee bit arrogance that he had built up such goodwill( sorry about the pun) he could do anything.

Cant see the current situation continuing. If the contract has to be terminated, think McGlynn position os very difficult. Their season re promotion imo is over, one less competitor for you guys.

Really looking forward to this game. From what I saw of the Edinburgh Derby both Hearts & Hibs played at a high tempo with constant pressing resulting in loose balls multi-bouncing everywhere, no time or space for higher quality players to control anything. No reason Arbroath can’t match that physicality and make it a battle.  Although, does Arbroath’s part-time status mean the players don’t train as often?

Yeah that’s basically the whole thing. Train 2 nights a week. They’ll train by themselves too. But we are as fit as anyone in this division and as fit as any team I’ve seen us play this season Premiership teams included

Does Nouble always run with his elbow in front of him or is it a new thing? He absolutely smashed Porteous against Hibs and got away with it. Wasn't as fortunate midweek but seems like using his elbows seems to be getting him into trouble in the Premiership

Lets just say refereeing standards the Premiership are worse than in the Championship.

Both yellows were pathetic.

They absolutely were but I'd be willing to bet it's been pulled up with refs after the Hibs game

Physicality is a big part of his game but he was certainly not dirty for us. Yes he’s very strong and defenders would just bounce off him if they tried to outmuscle him.

I wonder if he’s trying extra hard to impress and impose himself in a supposedly more physical league and is therefore getting on the wrong side of refs because of it.

Physicality and skill is some combination.

As said both yellows were pathetic. First one his arm isn’t high its just out to shield the ball and the defender runs into it. Second one his arms are just up for leverage. Awful refereeing

Welcome to the Premiership, Joel.

If he doesn't learn how to avoid it then he won't make it in the top flight. It was incredibly naive play and every team will now know he can be targeted in that way so its up to him to find a way around it.
