Looking forward to Rugby Park. A good stadium . Last time there, Killie were in Europe and Allie McCoist was playing (sort of).
Any chance you’ll get the grass back?

The artificial surface will remain for the time being, we use it to train on and also generate extra income by renting it out.

Plus it's good for generating a bit of seethe😁 hopefully one day the grass will return as we used to have a great pitch.

Near future will be interesting.

Thats 11 prem clubs that have grass pit hes now and might see a vote to ban artifical surfaces in the top flight once again.

I see no problem with them and as you say they are used to generate extra income for a club.

Any AFC transfer news folks?

No. Getting quite jealous of seeing it all over the place from everyone the last week or so but we’ve got a fair few to get through so imagine they’ll be more soon. 10th July first game so guessing training will start in 3/4 weeks.

League Cup draw today. We are 2nd seeds in the North section so can’t get Dundee, Raith or Caley. Livingston, Dundee United, Hearts and Ross County are the top seeds. Might get a final trip to Brechin as they are in the competition

With Barry Ferguson now Alloa Manager you could put money on his 1st 2 signings as being our ex no 1 Jamieson and goal-scoring supreme Nathan Austin a striker i would love at Gayfield.

Let's hope Trouten is a Celtic fan and ask's away as there is no doubt he still has at least another year or 2 at Championship level and i would sign in without a doubt, 36-0.

Trouten staying they’ve announced it.

Michael Gardyne and Joe Cardle could be two to look at. Both older and maybe wanting out of FT. Gardyne local and good pals with Bobby. Cardle Dunfermline area and started up his own soccer school.

Liam Henderson

Arbroath FC are thrilled to announce that 24-year-old defender Liam Henderson has agreed to sign for the club for our 3rd season in the Scottish Championship.

Liam joins the club from Edinburgh City.   The former Hearts Youth player spent time on loan at Stenhousemuir before moving to Falkirk at the start of the 2016 / 2017 season.

Liam gained more experience with a loan spell at Cowdenbeath from January to June 2017 before joining Edinburgh City on loan in November 2017 which would become a permanent move in January 2018

Liam had the chance of a lifetime when he was offered the opportunity to sign for Stirling Lions in the National Premier League of Western Australia.

Upon Liam’s return to Scotland, he resigned for Edinburgh City in August 2018 where he has been since.

In total he has made 97 appearances for Edinburgh City and has scored 14 goals.

Liam’s versatility is matched with his athleticism, pace, height and for a defender he is regularly on the scoresheet having netted 5 goals this season including a hat-trick against Albion Rovers.

Liam was named City’s 2020 Player of the Year but Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell has won the race for his signature for the new season.

Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell said “I’m delighted to secure the signature of Liam.  He has all the attributes that I look for in an Arbroath player and is a fantastic addition to our team.”

Liam joins Nicky Low in our first summer signings with the Scottish summer transfer window opening on Wednesday June 9th our Management team are working hard on bringing in new players for the upcoming season.

Welcome to the club Liam!

C’mon the Lichties

Player of the year season 19-20.

Which was a laugh because he was rotten in the first half of the season and all his mates voted for him. To be fair he did knuckle down and improved.

Arbroath have got a good player who is capable of scoring. Hopefully Dick Campbell can get the best out of him.
