as part-time team, your market can be sign the best players from other divisions, or who live/work in Angus...

someone from montrose (ballantyne or allan), or the GK from forfar (mccallum played well season 18/19)

wallace and murdoch from east fife could make a job....

with a narrow squad some player who can play in different places.

but the most important it will be find the ideal loan players

No reason why we couldn’t keep all our squad unless they wanted to go full time.

Surely being part time we can only start back when everything is back to normal for everyone pretty pointless having our players working day jobs mixing with others then playing full time teams who may still be distancing themselves from majority and playing the likes of us and Alloa etc. I’m all for getting it back ASAP but can’t see it any time soon. If any teams were to start back it would be the SPL behind closed doors.

Surely by playing behind doors, there is no revenue being generated

No disrespect to McCallum but he wouldn't get a game ahead of either of our 2 present keepers.

Also no one knows when football may restart and what players may or may not be up for grabs at that point.

But whatever happens Im sure DC will make sure we have a squad that can hold their own again!

P.S Hopefully the 4 Angus clubs all come out the other side from this.

Do a live stream fiver to watch generate some income from it at least

If we start playing the players then come off furlough, thus needing to be paid full wages again , I don’t think many lower league clubs could make more money than what they receive through the furlough system , also it could only happen if every team could provide streaming

Given League reconstruction seems inevitable, and setting aside the likelihood of a curtailed season up next, what structure do fellow Lichties favour?

I think the current divisions are too small. Playing other teams 4 times a season plus cups can become a bit tedious. Also we know that a Premier League will be expanded (the bizarre appointment of Hearts’ Chair guarantees this. So also assuming Kelly and Brora have to accommodated what would be the best option for the game?

A. 4 divisions- The 14-10-10-10 option being widely mooted. Leagues 1-3 playing each team 4 times

B. 3 divisions say 14-14-16 - playing each other 3 times a season

C. 2 divisions say 22-22 ( or 20-24) - playing each team twice

D. 1 division - for a single season (then maybe one of the above) playing each team once.

Or some other variant? Various factors to consider - the poisonous ugly sisters (and need to maximise encounters for tv revenue) but I’d be happy to see them join some other league altogether. The need for competitiveness - but there are 22 fulltime clubs. And the need to ensure a reasonable number of games each season ranging from 30-43 without cup fillers

If bigger leagues then, like the EPL, you can justify more automatic promotion or relegation places as well as playoffs. Hints at restricting relegation from the top flight under any new arrangement are a concern

Finally, is what might be best for Arbroath the same as best for Scottish football?

12-12-18, prem and championship play each other 3 times then split, league 1, teams play each other twice, all promotions 2 up, 2 down

In fact had a bit of a think, 20 teams in league 1, then everyone plays 38 games

Sounds good but the Prem will be 14 clubs at least next year because no way are Hearts getting relegated. [emoji849]

So promoting ICT, is the preferred option, I remember a far simpler times, when the cure to all the woes in Scottish football was to merge the Angus clubs
