We have now won more cup games as a Championship team than Brechin managed with there 1 win in the Scottish cup during their brief stay in the championship.

Two great results to really kick start our season and any sort of result at Easter Road would make this a Majic start to your season!

Agreed the score flattered us, our fitness levels proved superior to them in the last 20 mins or so.

Mikey much better in the second half in the middle, gave away a lot the first half, Murphy impressed - could definitely push gav out next season, goldie had a superb game, stevie looked solid up top creating a lot, Wilson had a good game, Spence despite his two goals (which IMO were extremely flattering in reflection to his game) looked poor again and is definitely not a lone striker, want him to do well it’s just not coming for me at the min.

Agree with every single point made here :)

We also really need to bear in mind that so far we've played friendlies and two League Two teams. While there are many positives so far and few negatives, we need to remember the significant jump in playing level this year, these friendlies and League Cup games so far don't offer any insight into how we will do in competitive games at Championship level week in week out. One of the biggest pluses tonight was the fitness levels as mentioned above, the majority of the squad look close to full match fitness already and looking sharp already which is ultimately what pre season is all about.

It's also great that we already know the Alloa game will be of significance, and we've given ourselves a great chance of getting through with 9 points and +3GD the ballpark for getting through in second place.

Your highlights will just be goals... and the Stirling miss of the season.

Please, please include the 5 seconds of Bobby Linn 'shooting', Cammy Binnie trying to punch it clear and then Stevie Doris stunning overhead kick attempt :D If time constraints are an issue just cut out a couple of our goals, to see that again would be worth it IMO.

Spence seems to have sharpened up in front of goal, his main strength probably which is good. Also putting himself about a bit more, decent

Great result that. After Murphy signing can we pretty please get 2 creative pacey attacking guys. If Linn isn't playing well or unavailable we really are struggling for that bit of spark and creativity

Spence was poor as a lone front man last night and lucky to escape a straight red for a blatant and violent elbow
