Lisa Cuddy
I refuse to believe that anyone, anywhere has ever called a cup of tea a "cuppy". I also can't imagine anyone outside of a soap opera calling it a "cuppa". It's just a cup of tea!

Ad Lib
Cuppy is the name of the game you play when you can't have two sets of goalposts to play football. Any other use of the word cuppy is an abomination. Equally, a "chipper" is someone who chips at something. It does not describe a fish and chip shop, which is called a chippy. f**k all the wrong people.
LongTimeLurker
Definitely not cuppy or cuppa as in "I'm having a cupp(a/y)", but a cup ae tea or cup ae coffee sounds about right for when I'm speaking in scotto voce.
Ad Lib
Cuppy? Is that not a football game where there's only one goal? HA HA HA The joke's been made 5 times in 30 posts, stop it ffs. On topic, cup of tea. Enough of this impertinence. The correct use of cuppy is, to borrow a phrase from Vote No Borders, "no joke".

LongTimeLurker
Weirdos can we no have a referendum about separating the central belt from everything north of the Tay? If you cannae say whit fit fits whit fit without having two distinct sounds at the start of the words you don't belong, basically.

Zetterlund
Cup of tea, though it normally comes out sounding like 'cuppa tea'. Coffee does not require to be preceded by the type of vessel it is served in, it's just a coffee. I don't remember the single-goal football game being known as cuppy - it was always World Cup for us growing up.
