Tom McB
Do you remember that time when you tried to deflect away racism from UKIP by claiming nationalists were racist? Pepperidge Farm remembers. So do I. No deflection, I stated that UKIP were economically illiterate racists, I stand by that. I then pointed out that the SNP did not take a firm line over a racist comment by the president of a University Nationalist association. The Thread is here http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php/topic/215910-ukip-mep-in-racism-shocker/ and I said Except they're not my beloved UKIP, economic simpletons mixed with closet racists, no thanks. Swing and a miss. Also notable that you have rejoiced in thuggery as a political weapon. Nice.
H_B
Apparently there was a heated altercation. It wasn't him speaking on anything, from unofficial reports on twitter he tried to act the hard man and the lad decked him. Of course whether that is the case we'll find out, the police have the man in custody, but you can certainly see gorgeous George doing exactly that. Eh, no. That would be these Twitter reports... that the Perthshire weirdo mentioned in this thread. Unlucks.

The guy gets charged with a hate crime because the guy he attacked is a bigot? Need to know the facts surely? Had, for instance, the chap assaulted George shouting " Take that you Muslim/****** scumbag" then that would be religiously aggravated. Interesting that you have old George down as a bigot, he's many things and i'm no fan of his but is he a bigot? Do you have anything to back up that claim? Casual Bystander
Also notable that you have rejoiced in thuggery as a political weapon. Nice. I never wrote what you have in that quote box, yet you have only referred to me by name. Unlucks. Not sure why you think it's unlucky for me. I was merely reporting what those on twitter were saying, hence the opening caveat of "apparently". If anyone is unlucky you would think that it was Mr Galloway himself. Segway Ah, the failings of modern spell checkers, clearly the word was meant to be segue.
Tom McB
I never wrote what you have in that quote box, yet you have only referred to me by name. Hm, let's have a look. I said Also notable that you have rejoiced in thuggery as a political weapon. Nice. Rejoices in thuggery, what did you say to justify my comment? You see I would normally condemn this, but f**k it, it's George Galloway. The thought of someone giving him a kicking is hilarious. HILARIOUS! Looks like rejoicing in thuggery to me. I know he panders to islamic groups and that muslims make up a huge percentage of respect voters but is he one himself? Prior to one of the times he was voted in to Glasgow Kelvin I was in one of the "Celtic-minded" boozers in the West End one night with a couple of Celtic fan mates, and he showed up giving it the whole rebel nine yards - apparently he'd been doing the rounds of all the Celtic boozers in the area with the same spiel. Most folk present treated him like the political joke he is, but inevitably there were a minority of dafties lapping it up.

He, like any socialist, stands up for those who are powerless (I know that's a fairly vague statement but I stand by it - there will be plenty of exceptions to the rule though). I agree with most of his points of view. Unfortunately he appears to be an 'A' grade arsehole - and so when some nut job lamps him in the street - lots of folk celebrate. Do you have anything to back up that claim? In 2005 he was going around Bow in East London proclaiming himself a Muslim (as opposed to his Jewish opponent) and was widely seen in the area as stirring up tensions over her race and religion. In 2011 he was in Glasgow trying to get a seat in Hollyrood by proclaiming himself a Catholic and life long Celtic fan while campaigning around "sectarianism". By 2012 he was back to being a Muslim in Bradford. He uses race, religion, ethnicity and the divisions between people to stir up votes for himself.
