If Wales make it to Euro 2016 and we don't I'll be spewing! 1-0 up at half time, looking good for them right now.

Thing is they have a really decent team, not such a great squad but

Hennessy

Davies (Tottenham)

Williams (Swansea)

Collins (West Ham)

Taylor (Swansea)

Gunther but imagine Matthews 1st choice

Ledley (Crystal Palace)

Ramsey (Arsenal)

Allen (Liverpool)

Bale (Real Madrid)

Robson Kanu (Reading)

That team should qualify IMO.

Bale and Ramsey are better than any player we've produced this century. Both are genuine top class Champions League level players.

We haven't really had one of them since Paul Lambert. Could argue Darren Fletcher for a brief period, but he'd be the only one.

Wales - Bale, Ramsey

Ireland - Keane

Iceland - Gudjohnsen

Sweden - Ibrahimovic, Larsson

Macedonia - Pandev

Montenegro - Vucinic

Belarus - Hleb

Denmark - Eriksen, Schmeichel

Belgium - Hazard plus plenty more

Norway - Carew, Riise

Czech Republic - Rosicky

Croatia - Modric

Poland - Lewandowski

Ukraine - Shevchenko

Bulgaria - Berbatov

Could go on and on probably but all these countries that aren't the top countries in Europe have all produced some of these players, when the f**k are we going to produce one guy that could be a game changer?

We were spoiled with the Souness, Law, Dalglish era.

It'll come around again though, and for all we know the likes of Robertson, Gauld and Harper could end up with that sort of reputation.

Wales absolutely pumping Israel. Think they'd probably still take us too, y'know. Hope they qualify, as after sixty-odd years they surely deserve a day in the sun.

However, the real question is: how does this affect our seeding for the World Cup Qualifying? Some speculation that Israel might pip us into Pot 2, but I'm thinking this result wouldn't have been taken into account :thumsup2

Edit: Sky seem confused; just referred twice to Wales having gone five matches unbeaten from the start of a World Cup Qualifying campaign for the first time

Scotland have several players of that calibre right now but sadly they all have a similar trait. Craig Gordon, David Marshall and Allan McGregor are arguably our three best players.

On the face of it Israel getting beat is good but I think the Welsh are on the cusp of pot 2 as well.

Everyone of the players mentioned in the list of players is strikers or very attacking midfielders apart from Schmechel who was around in 94' anyway, and if it's referring Kasper then lolz.

We've only done goalkeepers and ball winners at a properly decent level in the last 10 years. You can generally get away with having lesser players in these positions.

A genuine outstanding attacking player would have seen us much closer to qualification of late

It is really incredible what a truly brilliant attacker can do for a team. Closest Scotland have come for 10 years was a fully fit and firing James McFadden. He was easily as good as a Pandev for Scotland. Shame he wasn't around properly now, cause he'd make a difference. Instead he had to play with some amount of crap.

To be fair Craig Gordon has had some absolutely heroic performances. Both wins against France, the 1-1 game with Italy at Hampden where we really should have won.

Hopefully Jack Harper and Ryan Gauld will turn out top class but for now I think Naismith is our best forward player.
