nsr
Even better than that; apparently the Vatican City has the highest crime rate per head of population in the world. Also, the age of consent is currently 12. Apparently Pope Frankie is trying to sort that out, but still...the Church is either frighteningly naive or frighteningly creepy on certain matters. HibeeJibee
I would love to see a Vatican City international team. A Father Franco Sensini hat-trick against Gibraltar would be a sight to behold They already have, in effect, such an XI. It seems to play an annual challenge against Monaco, and runs them fairly close... Call-ups last year were dominated by the Santos club: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_in_the_Vatican_City#Matches Stadium, set against St Peter's Basilica: There is also a domestic Holy See League - for the 'Clericus Cup' - played over multiple divisions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_clubs_in_Vatican_City Official website (in Italian): http://www.clericuscup.it/ Refereeing in the Vatican City utilises a Blue Card in addition to Red & Yellow, sanction being - appropriately - a 'sin bin'. nsr
I'd hate to have to traipse over to St Peter's to ask for the ball back.

BFTD
Apparently Pope Frankie is trying to sort that out, but still...the Church is either frighteningly naive or frighteningly creepy on certain matters. That's very charitable of you, giving more than one potential answer to that If they wanted a Pope Frankie, this guy should have been promoted. Surely would've softened the hearts of even the most hardened anti-Papist.
Sherrif John Bunnell
I didn't know that Mark Yardley was capped for the Vatican.
Guest
FC Vaduz of Liechtenstein play in the Swiss leagues. San Marino Calcio play in the 3rd tier of Italian football and Andorra CF play in the Spanish 4th tier. All Liechtenstein teams play in the Swiss system, with Vaduz currently playing in the top tier. Cheers.
