Hamilton by far the best u20s team a present in the country. Well run club. Well done Selkirk on reaching the last 16. The only non league club to get that far.

Auto qualification for that stage next year, not sure how that will work after that.

Part of the reward of making that stage, that's how.

The same Hamilton team had skelp a rangers 20s 7-0 a few weeks before.

Hamilton had 5 internationals and 7guys that have played 1st team this season.

Eh? They played on December 19th - 2-1 win at Leith - then there was a 2-week Christmas break (per EOS League practice, presumably).

No result from a game this weekend on the EOS site, tbf. SFA referee lists says they were due to play Selkirk on Friday at Netherdale:

No result for Spartans v Edinburgh City either... Spartans twitter has them playing Dundee Utd U20s in a friendly instead, creditable 2-1 win.

Didn't notice that one, previous to that they hadn't played since 22nd November and just seen on Twitter that their game against Selkirk due to be played tomorrow is off.

Just seen on the BBC website that Spartans George Hunter has signed for St Johnstone. Well done young man and a great boost for all the boys playing at this level.

Great point uptheslope, I believe there's a misconception that if you've not made it into pro-youth ranks before turning 16 then your time has passed - The lad Hunter is a great example to dispel this myth, good luck to him and all the lads playing at this level, your opportunity is still alive and kicking - pardon the pun :-)
