Decent game between 2 decent sides spoiled by a woeful match official.

From making Kelty take a bye kick again because the ball wasn't out of the box to sending off the Dunipace keeper at 1-0 in the second half for picking the ball up INSIDE his box.

From 40 yards away wrongly deciding it was outside the box then compounding that first error by sending the keeper off for denying the Pace defender who was closest to him and the ball a goalscoring opportunity [emoji85].

Proper mind blowing stuff. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Superb start tonight and a dominant performance which could have been more. Hill of Beath sub came off the bench at 3-0 in the 53rd minute and 30 seconds later saw red after a horrendous tackle which set off a scuffle. Our player lucky not be be badly injured.

Goals included a 40 yard lob and a 25 yard free kick in off the post. Attendance around the 80 mark.

Watch out! Blackburn look very, very good...

Missed the first 15 mins but still saw 5 or 6 goals for them and a dominant display 👍

Thanks for the heads up Spyro :D

Good week for United 6 points on the board from 2 difficult fixtures.

All over them until the boy played a 1-2 with the crossbar at the penalty and the keepers heads-gone moment 🙈😂

Tbf the boy playing at number 3 looked good for you guys, nearly there for the first team

Good to dig out the result especially with a few big players like Young and Walker missing. Young Maughan was also on the bench as pushing for a place in the first team. Bonnyrigg next up on Friday.

Witnessed an absolute robbery at Blackburn tonight. Somehow Blackburn kept a 1-0 lead from a first half penalty until just before full time when Spartans deservedly equalised. Only for Blackburn to steal a winner about 20 minutes into injury time after just being reduced to 10 men!

Spartans were by FAR the better team, passing Blackburn off the park but hopeless in the final 1/3... don’t think the keeper had much to deal with at all.

To be fair to Blackburn, after going 1 up, it was a masterclass on how to kill a game of football against a much stronger team with the persistence and determination paying off with the goal at the end. The 2 lads at center of defence were impenetrable and the rest never stopped working or let their heads go down after the equaliser.

Definitely one for the purists 😎

Some upsets last night Spyro. Watched Dalkeith beat on form Edinburgh United 2-1 at Kings Park. Thought a draw would have been a fair result but could have been 5-5. Great league.

Sounds like they got the game plan spot on against a team that beat us 5-0 a few weeks ago. Well done Burnie [emoji106]

They were brilliant mate. Great maturity and just played to their strengths, took the wind out of Spartans and left them completely out of heart by the end. I thought it was a great game, if not end-to-end and full of chances... the missus was bored sh!tless! They should be so proud of their efforts, us who know what it’s like to play against a much stronger opposition can appreciate what they did, and they played it absolutely perfectly 👍

Without a doubt Spartans are a quality side with experienced management. However, if Blackburn are set out to press high and limit chances and it works, then I’m not sure it can be called a robbery.

One of the very few chances Spartans had they buried, but like you say the home team defended well throughout.

Blackburn perhaps sat off too much in the second half and on another day could have paid the price but the players work rate was great.

This league is doing great things for producing players for the EoS and Lowland in the future.

Another great result and performance from the Blackburn boys.

Was also good to bump into @Casey Jones... hope I didn’t put you off your notes too much, can’t wait to see your report in the ‘burgh thread soon 👌

Good to speak to you and apologies for the spaced out response when you spoke in the first place! Used to wonder what team you supported since it isn’t all that clear at times on P&B! After our conversation, it now makes sense! Cheers!

Football is always the winner! Fauldhouse have captured my heart for many different reasons but it’s amazing being surrounded by so many brilliant, forward-thinking wee teams to watch... certainly beats being brought up a Hearts fan or living in the Highlands! 🤭
