SouthLanarkshireWhite
After two away games there are two lessons to be learned in my opinion. The two home games have been decent, so it may be limited to how we play away from home - but not sure. 1. BF needs to recognise he is trying to play to a system that the players may not or cannot rise to. We have players of limited ability, and asking them to do things they are incapable of will lead to more problems. Examples were his frustration at our centre back trying to play outfrom the back at QP on his left foot when he is clearly uncomfortable doing so. Another was the touchline hugging tactic of playing two wide men, one of whom (Watt) is not a wide man for me. That left McManus a bit isolated as the midfield could not get up to support him quickly enough. Another is the right and left footers playing on the 'wrong' side - might work with practice & might not. 2. Another big lesson is for our fans. Two things stick out already this season. a. The nonsense on here about winning the league yadayada - set up for a fall, and just embarrassing. b. The tangible change in mood when QP scored and the support (or some of it launched into verbals) - happens to a lot of of us at some point but was really noticeable at Broomfield, and cannot help the team. Ferguson has been a bit naive in his 1st two away games - let's see if he learns and adjusts or carries on regardless.
third lanark
Ferguson is a very interesting appointment - potentially could be an excellent manager and do very well for Clyde The alternative is he could be a bit of a John Brown. We had Jackie McNamara and thankfully he learned very quickly that Thistle fans do not want to hear him talk about Celtic in any way. John Brown seemed to go on about Rangers, when most Clyde fans were not in the slightest bit interested. Ferguson will do well to remeber that very people at Vroadwood will have the slightest interest in how he got on at Rangers. I take it the idiot who tried to suggest the EK Clyde has long left the club?

Two clubs in one town is suiciidal. But anyway that's EK. MORE PRESSING IS HOW QUICKLY THE CURRENT MANAGER LEARNS AND ADAPTS

Clyde01
Lesson 1 - play a system to fit your players not trying to shoehorn them into 'your vision'. Lesson 2 - having a plan b is usually a good idea. Lesson 3 - when getting scudded 5-0 at half time damage limitation is probably a good shout. Lesson 4 - kevin watt is not a winger
