Anyone thinking salmond has been something special tonight is deluding themselves Salmond has been cogent and articulate. Were I a neutral Salmond was the clear winner in debating terms. The problem is there will be a lot of people who hear we can use the pound without really understanding there is a difference between using it in or out of a currency union.
