Americans and their gun culture

Lemons don't stop sharks attacking you ya daftie..................it's Limes.

Why do you think people in the UK ie Limies, don't get attacked by sharks and Aussies do.

We relised that centuries back but they are to stubborn to listen to us - that's why they get eaten by Jaws.

Lemons work for me although I've never seen a shark with a can of 7Up. Maybe its their kryptonite?

Someone tell Roy Scheider before its too late!

2nd ammendment

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

If you can't see the sense in that, then you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I have a lemon that stops sharks attacking me. Because of this lemon I've never been attacked by a shark.

That's the logic of the whole defend against the government second amendment argument nowadays.

Makes sense when you remember America is a country whose greatest invention of the 21st century is this

craziest-foods-5.jpg

Those look amazing and I make no apology for wishing I had some of them. *starts Googling where to buy American junk foods*

My ex wife was American and her mum, or "mom", was shot in the head by a mental disturbed relative.

Her parents couldn't travel because of health insurance/health care reasons and because of that I never actually met them in person.

So as a system to avoid meeting in laws, America's gun laws worked out quite well for me.

Having said that putting aside my own individual concerns and looking at the whole picture, it does seem FUCKING MENTAL.

When I lived in Michigan there was a drive thru off licence and petrol station that sold guns and ammo, handy.

I thought they had the guns incase the redcoats came back not because you can fill your car, get some smokes, beer and buy gun and ammo and go get that b*****d of a neighbour who keeps cutting his grass every feckin' morning and have a well earned drink and smoke afterwards :guns

The 2nd Amendment is so ridiculously out of date it rivals the Bible in terms of irrelevance, yet like the Bible some Americans seem to want to act on it literally. Many people think that it's because America is a "new" country that somehow the population don't trust it's government however to counter that I'd point out that Belgium is in fact "newer" than the United States, yet at the same time Americans were riding about on horseback shooting people the Belgians were inventing the saxophone.

Trying to label 10's of millions of people to a specific mind set is not helpful, and it makes you look rather ignorant. For the record, I have libertarian views.

How do you think the Americans defeated the British when they didn't have their own army?

Why do you think no one has attempted to invade Switzerland?

Why do think the Japanese didn't attempt to invade the U.S after Pearl Harbour, despite it having a weak military at the time?

That's a joke isn't it?

Christ.

A nine year-old girl in the US has killed her shooting instructor by accident while being shown how to use a high-powered automatic weapon.

The instructor was giving the girl a lesson at a shooting range in Arizona when the recoil from the first shot caused her to lose control of the Uzi.

Charles Vacca, 39, was shot in the head and died after being airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas.

The girl was at the shooting range with her parents, officials say.

The accident happened on Monday at Last Stop shooting range in White Hills, Arizona.

Correspondents say it is common in parts of the US for children to be taught how to use firearms.

Many firing ranges have strict safety rules on instructing children. It is not clear what age limits the range has.
